Cellulite or cottage cheese thighs as it sometimes referred to as, is extremely hard to get rid of and can make one crazy by trying to do so. I was wondering the other just what is cellulite anyway? It would be easier to get rid of if I had the knowledge of exactly what it was and what caused it. This is a problem that has plagued me for years and at this point I feel that there is nothing left to try. I can't shake the feeling that out there is something else, and I have to keep trying.

It is apparent that a need to re-evaluate our career planning is in order, and it's a good idea to do this before we need it. Most of the time we go about it backwards. Normally we look to see what jobs are available and hope our skills can meet and beat the competition of job seekers. What I'm asking you to do is reverse the order.

How to Make a Spiritually-Based Career Plan by Kathi Calahan

"I want to expand or change my career." I hear this statement every day from people who would make the changes if they only knew what to do.

Some tell me they do not trust the industry they are working in to stay afloat. Others say that the personality conflicts at work are so stressful that they dread getting up to go to work each day.

Not to worry. I'm going to show you how to make an excellent career plan for yourself which will also include your spiritual values. With this plan, I guarantee, you will find yourself excited to get up in the morning and go to work.

I CAN'T FIND TIME

As American author, Pearl Buck said, "I don't wait for moods. You accomplish nothing if you do that. Your mind must know it has got to get down to work."

If you keep telling yourself that you just don't have time to make a huge life change, such as a career adjustment, you'll find that procrastination will creep up on your goals until a week goes by, a month, a year and then the next thing you know, your dream will have withered from neglect.

Either your career is a priority, or it's not. It becomes a real priority when you put some action behind the dream.

Carol has a full time work schedule, plus a marriage to sustain and grow. Her dream is to write a novel. She went to school and graduated with a degree in journalism, has worked in the writing career field, but has yet to write her novel. Make a list of the skills you have enjoyed in all your previous jobs. Rate your skills into a top three list. A fabulous skills profiler can be found online at CareerOneStop. By completing the Skills Profiler evaluation you will be directed toward a career that best fit your favorite skills.

Carol's best skill has always been writing. It would be natural for her to write books and you can see that this would be part of her Life's Work. She enjoys it, she likes sharing her knowledge and the only stumbling block in her way at the moment is procrastination.

INTERESTS

As a young child, Albert Einstein had an insatiable interest in math and science. Unwilling to think inside the box and heatedly disliking rigid methods of instruction, school authorities began to think he might be dim-witted. It was his independence of mind that later catapulted him into one of the greatest minds of the 20th century, if not all time.

Some, like Buddha, Allah or Jesus are spiritually enlightened, while others, like Einstein, are Life's Work enlightened. He recognized his God-given interests and then made use of them, while making a contribution to others. You can do this too.

Think back to your earliest interests. Was it a school topic such as Carol found in writing and English? Was it a social interest such as talking to others? You can bet that was one of Oprah Winfrey's favorite interests. Was it an interest in beauty and nature like the great photographer Ansel Adams?

Identify your top three interests.

CHOOSE A CAREER

Now that you know your favorite skills, interests and values it's time to match them to a career field you find interesting. Spiritually speaking, you were born with everything to make this choice easy. Why work in a field you're not enjoying? Get rid of the stress by making a new career plan for yourself.

For the entrepreneurial sort, look into the book by Tom Chappell called, The Soul of a Business, where you can incorporate your own spirituality with the career of your choice. Your Life's Work is the mission of your Soul in making a difference in life.

We all know people who are angels of mercy, like Mother Theresa. She has discovered and implemented her Life's Work internationally. Or how about the president of the United States or other leadership positions anywhere in the world? These leaders have found their Life's Work within their own nation. Then there's always the hospice volunteers, who have determined that their Life's Work is to be shared within the community. What about the parent or parents who raise their children to be decent human beings and contributing members of society? These are all people who have discovered their Life's Work and are sharing their God-given talents.

You have a Life's Work, or Purpose and I'm going to show you right now how to find it. Keep in mind, these abilities all came into this lifetime with you. Your only job is to uncover them and use them.

Ask yourself these three questions

What has always captured and held my interest? Nature? Family? Psychology? Intuition? Science? Writing? Expand this list and choose your top three interests. One of these three will be the MOST important to you. Write them all down, because although you will choose one favorite, the other two will eventually get attention sometime in your life. What person have I always admired most? What was their primary value? For example - Abraham Lincoln and honesty are synonymous. Bill and Melinda Gates - philanthropy (although the pathway to getting there was via the Microsoft computer industry). Madame Marie Curie - Learning was her way out of the Polish ghettos and she ultimately used her skills to help others through medicine. What are my best and favorite three skills? For example - One might say that Donald Trump's best skill is building a fortune through real estate. The Dali Lama's best skill would be peace. Or how about Oprah Winfrey? Her best skill is communication. Now you might be quite skilled at cooking, but if it's not your favorite thing to do, don't add it to your list. It's got to be something that brings you great joy. Again, choose your very favorite skill and tuck the other two away for future use. Now that you have become aware of your God-given talents which make up your personality you can set about finding a meaningful Life's Work and begin fulfilling your destiny in life. The secret to uncovering your Life's Work is to know your gifts and match them to a compatible career. Usually we do it the other way around - look for a job and hope we can fit the requirements.

Jami & John are two of the finest parents in the world and I don't say that lightly. Their mission in life is to raise three children into adulthood who will be decent, hard-working and lawful, helpful citizens of the world. They've worked very hard making sure that each of the kids was held accountable for their actions. Trying, as all kids do, to push boundaries, these three children today know the difference between right and wrong and have made goals for themselves at a young age.

Because of parental supervision, the children, ages 13, 16 & 17 do not drink, drug or smoke. They have a bright future ahead and know that any addictions would prevent them from accomplishing their Life Works.

Thirteen-year-old Trevor is already headed into the design and construction industry and has known this was his work since he could barely walk. Sixteen-year-old Kelsey is interested in medicine and while she does not have a specific career in mind, she knows it will be in this industry. Seventeen-year-old Nick has just graduated high school and is headed for college to learn the pharmaceutical industry.

What this role model family can show us is that with a dream and help, we can achieve anything. These children are lucky, they have had the help of both parents all their lives. They've asked their parents lots of questions and together have explored online and through discussion their career possibilities. Mom and dad have helped them look at their skills, talents and values in order to find the work that will be most fulfilling.

But for those of us who do not have this kind of built-in support, it is important we find a mentor or a coach who can show us the way. With help, anything is possible and if this family can do it, so can yours!

The whole process involves recognizing your connection to God and finding work that you dearly love. Your career is the perfect outlet for making use of your talents, interests and skills.

It is said that precocious Pablo Picasso refused to start school in Spain unless he was allowed to draw whenever he wanted. Fortunately, his parents and teachers saw the potential and gave him what he wanted. Do you feel that passionate about the work that you do? Is your career like breathing to you?

In a recent New York Daily News article, writer Bill Manville describes spirituality as more than religion, giving way to the idea that God is more involved with our lives than we originally thought. Why am I here? What is my purpose? What is my favorite skill? What is my favorite talent? What am I most interested in? How can I make use of my favorite skill, talent and interest and make a living, while contributing to society?

Easy, right? Well, maybe not easy, but definitely interesting. You have a purpose and there is a reason why you're here. When will you start?

The day you were born your Soul brought with it all the skills, talents, interests and hobbies you would need to fulfill your Life's Work and find the perfect career for your personality. But sometimes we forget our purpose and end up working at jobs we don't like.

There is no reason to work in a career that doesn't pay the bills or make use of your best God-given talents. There is a perfect career for you and your Soul remembers what it is and can help you find it. How? One way is to look at your personality. And your personality is made up of all those skills, talents, interests & hobbies tucked away in the knowledge base of your soul. Some people are quiet, hard workers, others are go-getters. Which are you? By answering the following questions honestly, you will have a great starting point from which to move forward.

Are you an extrovert?

Do you prefer starting a project and leaving the follow-through to others?

Do you mind delivering bad news if it is for the good of the company?

Are you more of an idea person than a colony worker bee?

Are you a visionary who can picture their work goals succeeding months down the road?

If you answered yes to 3 or more of these personality insight questions, then you are much better suited to a career where you are either self employed or working for a company in a management position. It's a start. This knowledge you now have about yourself is vital if you are going to find the career of your dreams. Pensacola Lighthouse - A Real Haunted Lighthouse by David Moore

The Pensacola Lighthouse is a real haunted lighthouse. The lightship Aurora Borealis was the first Pensacola Light. A lightship is a permanently moored ship that has a light beacon mounted on it. Due to the persistent occurance of choppy seas, the lightship had to be anchored inside the bay entrance, behind Santa Rosa Island. Due to the location where the lightship had to be anchored, it was very inefficient and provided little benefit as a lightship and in 1824 was replaced by a permanent lighthouse. This new lighthouse and the keeper's dwellingwere constructed for $5,725 and completed in barely two months.
This real haunted lighthouse seems to still be inhabited by its first lightkeeper, Jeremiah Ingraham. Jeremiah moved south from New England in December of 1824 to assume the lightkeeper duties at the Pensacola Light.When he saw how easy it was to grow his grapes, rice, strawberries and other crops, he grew very fond of the tropical Florida climate. After living the solo bachelor life for a couple of years, Jeremiah decided it was time he got married.
The lightkeeper got married in 1826, and three children soon followed.They hired a young Negro boy as an assistant lightkeeper, and soon took on caring for an ailing relative. Even with everyone who was able to do so pitching in to hunt and harvest the crops, there just never seemed to be enough food. This struggle to provide adequate food for everyone caused much stress and became the root cause of frequent heated and violent arguments between Jeremiah and his wife. Jeremiah's wife pressured him constantly, saying he wasn't doing enough, although he seemed to work endlessly.
The constant tension and strife festered for the entire time the couple ran the ligthhouse - about 30 years. The children were all grown and on their own after 30 years, which left Jeremiah and his wife alone in the house.
One night, the reason unknown to this day, Jeremiah's wife woke up in the middle of the night, went downstairs, and retrieved the sharpest knife she could find. Then she went back upstairsand stabbed her husband in the back. While watching him die, she formulated her alibi to make sure she would get away with it. She got rid of the incriminating evidence and reported her husband's death as a hunting accident. Her plan was successful, and she soon took over tending the lighthouse.
Her duties as lightkeeper we made nearly impossible by one malfunction after another. Countless mechanical problems, setbacks and malfunctions seemed to taunt the guilty wife every day. Was it the spirit of her murdered husband tormenting her?
Stories say the murderous wife saw random things fly through the air, heard eerie laughter in empty rooms, saw shadows in the windows of the locked tower at night, frequently smelled the odor of pipe tobacco, and felt freezing cold blasts of air regardless of how hot the fireplace was burning. The Pensacola Lighthouse definitely seems to have the makings of a real haunted house.
Although the old station was completely rebuilt, witnesses say the bloodstain of Jeremiah's murder shows through the floorboards of the upstairs bedroom of the current keeper's house. It doesn't matter how hard it is scrubbed or what cleanser is used, the stain always comes back. A former lightkeeper's son said that when he used to pull the chains to keep the lens turning, he would hear breathing behind him. Visitors have their name eerily whispered into their ear by an unseen presence. Doors open and close by themselves, and footsteps are heard heading to the front door, the door would open and close, the footsteps then head out the door towards the gate, where the gate would open and close, then the footsteps would stop.
Coast Guard crews can't keep the doors locked. They regularly lock them, double-check them, and come back to find them unlocked again. Many of them have experience the essence of the pipe smoke; one even reported actually seeing the smoke. Nearly everyone reports feeling another presence among them when they're in the tower. Still others are startled by the sudden slamming of the hatch to the lantern room, when they know no one is there. Just about everyone who is asked will say this is a real haunted lighthouse.
One of the most convincing reports that this is a real haunted lighthouse happened in the late 1980s. The couple was asked to check the lighthouse to see why the light was out. When they got there, they heard a man pacing and cursing. The husband went upstairs to try to fix the light, while the wife remained downstairs listening to the unseen man ranting, raving, and swearing.At the exact moment the light came back on, the cursing and pacing abruptly stopped. Is it possible that Jeremiah was angry because the light was out and he couldn't fix it?..
This encounter probably provides the best evidence that this just may be a real haunted lighthouse.
The Pensacola Light was fully automated in 1965. In 1971, the Gulf Islands National Seashore was created to help preserve the tower, and Forts Pickens and Barrancas which sit on neighboring land. The lighthouse tower and associated buildings were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
Until 2007, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 17 provided tours of the lighthouse, but they were discontinued due to safety concerns.. The facility remains an active aid to navigation, and in many opinions a real haunted lighthouse.

Kabbalah: The Key to Understanding The Past by Bnei Baruch

Regret, we've all experienced this painful emotion. Phrases like," I wish," "if I had only known," and "if I could do it over" are often verbalized in regard to our lives. We as humans tend to live in the past and often look back to the point that it numbs us to our present situations.
Many would say you should "put the past behind you," and "let bygones be bygones." But as humans we often find this advice impossible to heed. Often our insecurities and doubts make it difficult to focus on what is happening right in front of us.
We continue to feel responsible for situations in our lives and regard our past as something that belongs to us. We attempt to rewrite our histories by looking for something in the future that will take away the hurts and disappointments of yesterday.
What exactly can we influence in our life? There is an ancient prayer that says, "Lord! Grant me the strength to change the things I can change, the courage to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference".
The teachings of Kabbalah can help us understand our past and grant us the wisdom to know the difference in what we can change and what we cannot. The book of Shamati ("I Heard") is a collection of lessons spoken by Baal HaSulam to his students. The first article begins:
"It is written that "there is none else beside Him," meaning that there is no other power in the world with the ability to do anything against Him. And what man sees, namely, that there are things in the world which deny the household of above, is because He wills it so."
This means that there is a single force, called "Nature" or "the Creator," that guides our development. In other words, everything that ever happened to us was supposed to happen exactly the way it did. This is true regardless of what happened and how it happened. Even if it has brought us to some undesirable, painful, unpleasant result today. Even if at this moment it is really burning, killing us from within, it does not matter. We must accept that everything that happened up until this moment took place because the Creator willed it so.
Kabbalah also teaches us that the Creator's only goal is to fill us with unbounded delight. So how can we reconcile these two seeming contradictions?
According to Kabbalah, mankind's ultimate purpose is to reach a perfect and eternal state where we are in harmony with all of creation. Man is the only aspect of nature that was given the ability to choose to do this. Everything else in the world was created to exist within this harmony as part of its inherent nature. Man, on the other hand, was created with an opposite nature, with an illusion of independence and control. In contrast to Nature's interconnectedness, man operates from egoism - what is best for me. Mankind's task is to transcend this nature in order to partake of the bounty that Nature has provided us.
Nature provides us with situations that will show us the difference between our nature and the altruistic nature we are meant to acquire. When we experience this difference, we perceive it as suffering. Whether we realize it or not, the suffering of humanity is constantly pushing us closer to achieving the harmony that Nature intended.

You are love in its purest form and this body and identity you have assumed to occupy physical space in is the perfect method to experience the love that you are by having the experience of being what love is not. You, as God, cannot not be love. It is impossible. Love is who you are. Not just love, but pure, unconditional love. Love defined in any other way is not love. Conditional love is an oxymoron. That is the love that you really are. You, as God, know this. You, as God, know that the only way to experience love, in all of its different perspectives, is to be in a state that allows you to forget that what you truly are is all-pervasive love and go to another state of being that allows you to experience the opposite of what love is in order to see and know and experience this all encompassing love from every perspective. You, as God, know that all the other aspects of yourself that you know of as other human beings, animals, plants, mountains, trees, oceans, bugs and other universes are all viewing love from their unique perspectives, and all of these perspectives are what makes up the totality of you and this creation of yours called the physical relative universe. Do we put too much effort into getting the Law of Attraction to work? Hereâ€™s something that transforms it from a struggle into a stream.

Letâ€™s think about what we know.

Law of Attraction is the formula we use to instruct the quantum field about what to manifest into our lives, whether we do this with conscious or subconscious thought. The field follows the patterns imbued in it by Source (God, Universe, etc.) and mirrors our thoughts back to us as experiences. It follows the Law and is impartial as to what we instruct it to do.

We also know, or benefit from knowing, that Absolute Faith equals Absolute Results.

Since the field responds to the thoughts we have the strongest emotions or feelings about, the next consideration would have to be: what does absolute faith feel like?

It doesnâ€™t feel like stress, strain, worry, doubt, or any attempt to enforce our will on it. Such emotions and thoughts as these nurture increased feelings of separation from Source, absence of mindfulness about how the Law works, and our true nature . . . and attract more of what we prefer not to experience. Itâ€™s not necessary (nor beneficial) to repeatedly focus on or will a thought form. We can get a clear feeling-sensing-living it image in our minds so the field knows what to create for us, but the powerful energy that makes it happen is to allow it . . . without â€œirritatingâ€ it as we might an insect bite.

I recall having the thought about fifteen years ago that the Source Consciousness is perfect. It canâ€™t lack, be ill, or be confused. Underneath the layers of beliefs, programs, and stories we tell ourselves and others, the truth of what Source is, is also our truth . . . because weâ€™re the same energy, just individual expressions of it. So, only our perceptions can cause us to experience these effects.

Knowing this realization, however, doesnâ€™t mean we immediately integrate it into our thought patterns. More often we take a winding, sometimes frightening journey in the direction of the rainbow where we know the pot of gold waits for us. But, this type of journey is also based in perception, or cause and effect.

If youâ€™ve believed youâ€™re flawed or less in any way, you may perceive there are quite a few layers to let go of before you consistently feel or choose to feel the truth at your center. However, you can feel it sooner than later. You can peel away more than one layer at a time.

The fastest way to get to the core truth of who you are so your Law of Attraction formula works properly is to grasp that youâ€™re an expression of Source and can never be separate from it except in your mind, as well as recognize that Source flows perfectly, with no imperfections, no lack, no fear. Consider the disproportionate attention fear in all its forms gets as an influence in our lives. This influence comes at us from all directions. You can choose to accept that fear is a source you wish to ingest (and regurgitate) or not. Most of the messages we receive from the world tell us we are disempowered, separate from Source and each other, separate from serenity, abundance, creativity, and from our true nature.

The Law works best for us when we are at one with truth about our unity with Source, when we are serene, trusting . . . in a state of absolute faith about who we are.

People have a tendency to think about what they should have done when the time has already been far spent to change what can no longer be altered. Thus, they allow their attention to be drawn to the idea of 'failing' when such failures no longer exist. They no longer exist because they belong to the past, not to the past.

But why is it so hard for people to accept this? Why is it so difficult to forgive the past and move on?

Must we continue to fail all the time when we merely failed once? In other words, just because we failed that does not mean we are still failing. And even if we failed in the same way more than once that does not mean failure is unavoidable. Yet, we often live in failure by allowing the past to keep reminding us of mistakes that we have ceased to make long ago.

Forgiving yourself makes perfect sense then, because there is no point in thinking about what you should have done when there is nothing you can do at the moment to change what has already passed. Instead, it is better to just simply do what you know ought to be done today rather than to think about how things might have turned out if you did it yesterday...

You see, it's not for us to think about what might have happened 'if' we did what we think we were supposed to do, but to put what we know ought to be done into motion 'now', to make positive things happen in the present and to pave the way for a future without regrets. After all, isn't this what self forgiveness is all about?

If you let the failures of your past consume your thoughts and control your emotions you will continue to be its prisoner. Thus, you will never really experience the joy that the present would soon give you if you would open your eyes to the fact that you can act now and start over!

Of course, there might have been situations where you hurt certain people, and can no longer make things right with them as they are not within your reach anymore. However, that still doesn't give you good reason to live in regret, because living in regret is not something that anyone should do, because it will change nothing for the better, but only cause more pain.

There is a positive side to this however, because if you know you should have done something, but didn't do it, at least you can say you are not ignorant of what ought to be done now, right?

So forgive yourself and move on. Stop thinking about what you could have done and start thinking about what you can start doing today. Don't keep slipping into past regrets, but live in the present and gift the future with a legacy of promise and assurance for what can be done when people are willing to act in the 'Now'...

You were born a Champion... I would like to share with you how one moment in your life, be it an article, a person, an incident or just a thought or dream can change your life forever. We generally are challenged by our self image or let me say how we look at our self. Let alone how we look at others. So in a nutshell we constantly judge ourselves and others by our outer appearances, possessions, achievements... you get the picture. This was absolutely life changing for me once I got this. When I understood and started to believe that I was born a Champion and others were too. I started attracting things that were consistent with my self image (Who I Am). We can "NEVER" outperform our own self image or self portrait.

Let me give you an example: imagine a friend that constantly loses his temper, acts up, makes a scene when you go out, etc. Well, you might not like it, but you expect it because that's how he or she is. Now let's say this person has a totally different image or perceived character: focused, successful, organized, healthy, kind, likable, can do anything and every other great quality. That is who they are and you wouldn't expect anything less from them. We do not get out of life what we really want we get what we expect (the law of expectation/attraction). Remember: How you are, is not Who you are. Fourth, and probably the most important is realizing the greatness in others. Remember we are all born Champions. Let me give you an example: have you ever had a misunderstanding with a co-worker, friend? After that incident you form an opinion about that person and say they are a *@#! or something to that effect.

Well from that moment on you will interact with that person different because of how you look at them. We tend to look at ourselves and others based on past events. Here is another thought for you. "Life is not an event it is a process". We sometimes get caught up in events from our past that we tend to not ro allow ourselves to live our present to its fullest. Always remember to speak good to yourself of yourself for that voice is the loudest. Love yourself, so you can love others and you will love your life. The Soul's Perspective on the World's Crises: the Way to Resolution by Christine Hoeflich

The higher self's perspective on life challenges and crises is beginning to emerge in consciousness. For example, Robert Schwartz in his book Courageous Souls: Do we Plan our Life Challenges before Birth? (Dec. 2006) writes that the concept of one's soul actually planning difficult challenges prebirth "presents a new and radical way of looking at the world and our purpose in it."

In his book, Schwartz explores the lives of ten people who have experienced a variety of difficult challenges. Through a process of intense and lengthy exploration (including, at times, deep hypnosis and channeling), he and the ten participants came to understand that their souls had actually planned their challenges so that they would have the opportunity to experience profound spiritual and personal growth. In other words, our souls planned our challenges so that we would grow from them and thus come to know who we are in the face of those challenges. I learned this also about my own life challenges, including the best way to resolve them sucessfully--the process of which I detail in my own book.

If this idea is true for these ten people and for myself, I suspect it's true for all of humanity. And if we can accept that these ideas pertain to everyone, we can use them to benefit all of humanity. Like Schwartz, I do not wish to persuade you or to prove that this is so (it's not something that's provable in the scientific sense anyway, at least not yet), but to offer another perspective that can be profoundly helpful to many at this time. The worldwide crisis isn't just "out there" but affects many people on very personal levels. And just as the macrocosm affects the microcosm, the microcosm affects the macrocosm: our own personal crises do affect the rest of humanity.

In fact, I went further with these ideas and came to understand that because your higher self had planned everything in your life, including your biggest challenges, it has the capacity to complete those challenges successfully, and, by reconnecting with your higher self, you are developing that creative capacity most directly. The way to reconnect with your higher self is the subject of another article, but I stress that reconnecting with your higher self means developing a relationship with it so that you can hear its guidance (your intuition) and trust it enough to follow through on this guidance consistently. As you begin to do this, you will glimpse into your soul's original plan. You will understand why your higher self might have wanted to experience those challenges firsthand and actually feel grateful for them--especially when you find yourself resolving them in new, amazing ways (and helping your fellow man in the process).

If you accept the idea that your higher self had planned your life experiences so that you would come to know yourself as "one who rose to the challenge" and because of this your higher self has all the answers you need to complete those challenges successfully, wouldn't a lot of the fear and inertia that's present in your life be alleviated? Perhaps the "awakening process" that New Age teachers talk about has to do with awakening to your soul's purpose and power. If this is so, then true awakening begins with reconnecting with the higher self, not necessarily with "negating the ego." Undoing the ego and reconnecting with the higher self are two distinct processes. Really, they have nothing to do with one another.

When you reconnect with the higher self, several things occur:

1. You have increasing access to the realm of creativity, inspiration, and guidance in the moment (The soul is your access point to interconnectedness, to your original plan, to your blueprint for success)

2. Following through on the inspiration and guidance results in helpful synchronicities, greater cooperation from the universe, and new insights

3. The new insights result in an organic, gradual (and the least painful) way to change your mindset (regarding yourself, others, and the world)

4. When you change your mindset, you dissolve the ingrained thoughts and outdated beliefs that block your progress and eventual success

5. What results is a progressively stronger relationship and a greater confidence in your higher self, in yourself, and the process continues...

Reconnection with the higher self is an effective vehicle for transformation because the heart and soul can override false and outdated beliefs held by the mind. In fact, when your connection to your higher self is at least as important and as real to you as anything else in your life, you can consider yourself having reached "critical mass." When you reach critical mass, miracles begin to happen much more regularly in your life.

Thus, reconnection is the easiest way to resolve your challenges regardless of the nature of those challenges. And by resolving your own challenges, you will help resolve the crises on this planet.

Start by waiting for an opportune moment, when your partner is relaxed and in a talkative mood (i.e. not during an important football match), then lead the conversation slowly into the subject of the occult. Rather than telling him what your interests are, ask your partner what knowledge he has of the occult. Perhaps you could explain that the occult is a very much misunderstood field and that horror movies and cheap novels are largely responsible for the multitude of misconceptions that abound. Ask him what he believes Witchcraft to be and he should then give you a good idea of what he knows about the subject. Depending on his response, try to explain what Witchcraft really is - how it developed, how it was distorted, its reemergence and the way it is practiced today. If he asks how come you know so much about it, just start off by saying that you find the subject very interesting and have read a great deal on it.
The next step is to get your boyfriend to read some of the better books himself. If you mean enough to him, he will be interested enough in your hobbies to read what you suggest. Thereafter you can elaborate on just how interested you are and finally - again at the opportune moment - confide that you are actually a Wiccan. It is more acceptable today to use the word Wiccan rather than Witch and it certainly does help overcome the inbred misconceptions to an extent.
If he clings to the misconceptions after reading and discussing a few books on the subject, ask him why he believes that way. It is actually relatively easy to break down any arguments and show him how illogical they are. However, if he still refuses to accept at least your right to your own beliefs, then you should seriously consider calling off the relationship. It is okay to disagree on minor points, but it is totally unacceptable to have any one person try to impose his beliefs on another or disallow the other the right to their own beliefs.

If I was to tell you that such an internal system is available to you "right now," you would need to be aware of 5 myths that may get in the way of you using it to solve your problems and challenges in life.
1. It's not enouth to "Trust" yourself, it must be proven scientific provable!
By using, trusting and improving intuition in yourself, you can attract all the happiness, fun, joy, peace and harmony and anything else you desire and deserve into your life.
Every single one of us has a "gut feel" indicator which guides us. It's just that we don't listen to it often enough, because we search for solid evidence to prove our feelings.
You need to TRUST in your own inner intelligence, despite no visual proof. You just need to know that what you feel initially is the "Right" feeling, and you should go with that.
2. You need the approval of checking with others before you decide on something.
How often do you find yourself "holding off" on an otherwise right decision for you because you need the "approval" of your friends, family, boss or whoever before you decide?
More often than not, the outside influence and emotions of others will blur your ability to make accurate "gut level" decisions that will guide you to the right outcomes for you.
3. Trusting in your intuition can be wrong, so you shouldn't rely on that sort of stuff solely!
If you have the ability for improving intution, listening and trusting it, every now and then you're going to get a miss-reading and make an occasional wrong turn. When this happens, don't bury your intuition deeper in miss-belief by not listening to it next time.
Instead, you need to tap into your "real" self, and be still, quite and thoughtful, because in stillness is where your intuition will never fail you, you just need to be quite enough to hear it. You need to know that mistakes will occur while your in transition mode from busy minded to quite mindedness, just be sure to learn from them and know it won't happen again.
This is all part of learning about your true self and what it "sounds" and "feels" like to trust that part of you, and even though it feels uncomfortable at first, if you persist, you will eventually master these feelings and thoughts and be all the better for it.
4. Authority figures are always more right than you are, that's why you need to trust their experience before your own.
There needs to be someone in charge or higher up who knows the answer right? If you can just find that person, everything will be alright and they can lead you in the right direction.
Beware, this belief is a "Trap"! People of high authority and status are also human beings, and if their not creating a process of improving intuition for themselves, you're tapping into a very dangerous source of trust that could damage your life or business more than you know.
By accepting and learning to "let go" of attachement to those you think might have the answers, and feeling that you need their approval before you do things, you'll be allowing yourself to make more accurate and finely tuned decisions in all areas of your life.
5. How can it be possible to find answers from within you?
Most people believe that the answers for all their problems come from external solutions... more money, better job, smart partners or friends, but they seldom seem to look or feel within their own reservoir of inner wisdom and improving intution.
The fact that all of your answers lie within you first and foremost, may have previously fallen on deaf ears for you and your life. But if you take the time to sit in solitude and peace even for a few minutes a day, you're going to experience a realization of life you never imagined before.

Its 10 am on a Sunday morning and a baby is born at a posh locality of South Delhi. If we look at these two examples, we can imagine about the kind of lives these two children should have been living. A lot of people will ascribe this as the result of the soulâ€™s karma. But the question arises â€œWhat is karma and how does it work.â€ According to Hindu upanishads, Karma means the â€˜deedâ€™ or â€˜actâ€™ which can be broadly defined into more accepted universal terms of â€˜causeâ€™ and â€˜effectâ€™. Some parts of it are controlled, like birth, environment etc. but majority are of our own making.

Here the karmas of their last birth led these children into two totally different lives.

The Sanskrit for Horoscope is "Kundali". The birth chart or natal chart in Sanskrit is then called "Janma Kundali". By definition a horoscope depicts the position of all the planets in heaven for given date, time and sun sign. This date and time is critical because planets are in constant motion and their positions are continuously changing. The horoscope indicates the position of each planet with respect to the 12 zodiac signs. Each Zodiac sign represents 30 degrees of movement for each planet and the 12 Zodiac signs represent 360 degrees movement of each planet. Each planet moves at different speeds and at varying speeds each day. We also do the Astrology sign compatibility so that you can know how compatible you are with your loved ones. Moon is the fastest moving planet, and it takes approximately two and half days to travel through each Zodiac sign.

Ascendant or Lagna: Saturn is the slowest planet among Vedic astrology planets. It takes approximately 21/2 to complete its movement through one zodiac sign. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are even slower than Saturn. Apart from the position of each planet, the other most important parameter of the chart is called Ascendant or "Lagna" in Sanskrit. This is referred to as a point in a particular zodiac sign represented by a longitude expressed in degree, minutes and second and it is computed based on the exact Latitude/Longitude of the place where the particular person is born.

Every place on the surface of the earth has a unique ascendant sign and ascendant degree among the 12 zodiac signs at any given date and time of birth. The Ascendant point signifies the exact eastern horizon at the exact date, time and place of birth of a person. This is the unique space and time signature of a person. The Ascendant sign in the chart is also known as the first house of the chart. Every other sign in the zodiac then becomes the other houses in the chart in the anticlockwise direction. If the Ascendant sign is Aries in a horoscope chart, then the next zodiac sign in the anticlockwise direction is Taurus. Taurus will be considered as 2nd house in the chart. Similarly each of the 12 zodiac signs will then represent 12 houses in the chart. So the natal horoscope chart signifies the individual planet positions in different zodiac signs and the ascendant and 12 houses in the chart based on the date, time and place of birth. This is the permanent chart of an individual, which does not change as the birth details do not change.

Dasha Chart: Every birth chart has a dasha chart, which starts from the date and time of birth and is unique for every individual. This uniqueness comes from the start of the Dasha system for the person. A person's Dasha system can start from any point within the sequence described above. Once the starting point is computed from the birth chart, then it must follow the sequence given above. This starting point is not chosen at random but it follows a definite mathematical logic and is computed from the exact longitude and zodiac sign where Moon is located in the natal horoscope chart.

To analyze smaller time durations in a person's life, the Dasha system (Planet Main Period) can be further sub-divided into Antar Dasha (sub-period) or it can be further divided into 3 rd level of Pratyantar Dasha (sub-sub periods). Theoretically we can create charts even to 5th level covering few hours of a person's life, which is called Sukshma Dasha.

However it is not reliable or practical to create a chart beyond 3rd level as mentioned above because our birth time is never totally accurate, and even if a person has clear birth time recorded at the time of birth, the associated error will be exotically reflected beyond 3rd level and no reliable analysis can be done. Besides there are different opinions among Vedic astrologers on which moment during birth constitutes the actual birth time. I am not going to such controversies in this article. The dasha system reflects that planets deliver their natal promises during their period, sub-period and sub-sub periods as per the person's chart.

The birth chart becomes the main tool in the hands of an astrologer to predict when and what events will take place in a person's life.

But still this little understanding is far greater than a star or even the Milky Way can do on its own.

The human reasoning that is within every logical being, always questions our origins and our purpose. When we look at the world we live in at the moment, we come to see that we place our purpose to a being that many call God. Our populations ninety five percent of it will agree on this and it makes sense for those who live their lives accordingly to their spiritual institutes' teachings. And when we further look at this from a point of view of the follower be it Buddhist, Islam, Hindu or Christian etc, then we see that all these institutes teach one thing very interesting, to live their journeys with feeling and teachings that is pure in its core, and this purity contains kindness gratitude compassion, all the good qualities that a considerate person should possess. On the same token these institutes produce some elements that really do not understand the teachings; rather they understand it blindly, thus straying from the real point of love and kindness for all.

When many of us humans have faith in a being such as God or Buddha or a supreme being and pray or meditate to it, this then takes away the search for us, gives us a belonging with certainty that we have found what our purpose is, and some people old or young are still searching even the devout follower of a sect, is still searching. Because the light we all search for is a growing one. It just gets brighter as we get closer to the truth within our hearts. And that truth many label different yet it is the same. If we were to look at a straight line from the same angle at the same time, then we would all see the same line being straight. Truth cannot be bent. Yet we all have different meaning for it. Which ever makes sense the most, is followed. Exuberance is a good stimulus towards action, but the inner light grows in silence and concentration. When we follow the nature and the nature of things, then the eternal question arises, why? And the answer brings no illumination unless the question has matured to a point where it gives rise to this answer. And then the answer becomes questions fruit.

If we are really intended to find out or concerned with the whole business of our existence then we must remember to learn for ourselves whether there is that being called God, the force beyond all our reason, beyond time and space, beyond what our eyes can see when we stare at the magical nights sky. And some of us really value and place much importance to this universal question of, belonging to it, and learning about it. And that gives depth to life itself and depth to experiencing the sacredness, wholeness, and oneness, completeness. And we are individual in our search, individual sparks, individual lights, and the guardians of our own unique sacredness in our feelings, in our hearts. It is only when we all come together in unity and kindness and compassion and embrace each other. We must not blame our misunderstandings on others.

Then we realize that our purpose is to live in unity, compassion for Love and Beauty and Trust.

Even though the Bible is the biggest "bestseller" of all time, and continues to affect believers and non-believers more than any other book ever written, many people are wholly unfamiliar with the original language. This causes some confusion and misunderstanding especially if you get your religious philosophy from Time magazine. Some misunderstandings regarding the spiritual messages from the Torah can easily be cleared up without spending years studying the language. There are some key mistakes that are the cause of major glitches that should be corrected.

Here is one of the Top Ten Mistranslations- "Ayin tachas ayin" - An eye for an eye. (Ex.-21:24, Lev.-24:20, Deut.-19:21)

Ask your average layman if they are familiar with this phrase and what it means and you'll hear that - of course that is the famous Biblical verse advocating taking revenge on your enemies. Although other peoples all over the world have sanctioned revenge in various forms, even officially in the Code of Hammurabi and Babylonian Law, the Torah is quite clear that revenge is forbidden; it is a transgression stated in Leviticus 19:18 "Thou shalt not take revenge." People think the Torah advocates revenge when in reality it forbids it. This misunderstanding is so pervasive, being misquoted in books and magazines, even by spiritual and knowledgeable people like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. that it is almost useless trying to convince people otherwise. But if you want to know the real Torah; the one that has guided spiritual people for 3300 years, you should know the truth. It is truly unfortunate that not only do people misunderstand the true message of the Torah, but they use this mistranslation to malign the Jewish people, who historically are shown to be extremely non-vengeful compared with other nations.

Two types of revenge

To be clear, there are two types of "revenge" that need to be separated. One is a private type of revenge where a person takes it upon himself to exact retribution when someone did him wrong. This, the Torah says, is clearly immoral. When we do that we are playing God. It's the Almighty's job to right wrongs, carry out punitive justice and correct the imbalances in the world. When we are slighted we naturally want to retaliate. We want to make things "even". But that feeling is disconnected from God and spirituality. We need to channel those feelings inward and ask why the event happened in the first place. Is there a lesson I need to learn? Am I leaving myself unprotected? Is there a message from the Almighty concerning my spiritual growth? We need to remind ourselves that God still runs the world. If someone stole $100. from me, the Almighty has many ways of returning me the money, and many ways of taking the profit away from the thief. God doesn't need my help in carrying out His justice. Kabbalistic "karma" has many ways to right a wrong. Which leads us to the second type of "revenge".

The second type is a formal revenge that a court of law carries out. The courts, being human, are incapable of carrying out true divine justice. But they do have a duty to provide society with a system of justice that is fair, promotes harmony in society, and presents criminals with punishments or consequences that help prevent crimes against other citizens so we can live in harmony. Every society tries to develop a justice system that is objective and wise. Non-Torah systems sometimes included the possibility for the criminal who maims to be himself maimed. This, even when carried out by an objective court, the Torah also says is not right, and provides an alternative through monetary compensation. We are instructed NOT to carry out either of these two types of revenge.

Courts of Law

So what does this phrase an eye for an eye mean in the Torah? It is a poetic phrase in the context of court cases and instructions for judges. If a person injures another to the point of causing that person to lose an eye, there is a monetary fine paid. An eye is priceless and can't be replaced, but the court is mandated to issue a fine nonetheless. Some say it also means that the aggressor should feel as if they deserves to have his/her eye taken out, but of course the courts are not going to do that. (On a side note, an interesting commentary by Rabbi Eliahu of Vilna explains that since the word "tachas" literally means "under", you can look at the Hebrew letters that spell "ayin" which are ayin, yud, nun, and pick out the letters underneath which are pey, chaf, samech, - the letters that spell "kesef", the Hebrew word for money.)

One eye is taken for an eye

If your neighbor leaves a severed pig's head on your porch, you will naturally feel like retaliating. As is often the case, human beings seem to be projecting their feelings onto the Torah and finding a phrase that supports their feelings. We would like to carry out revenge or have the court carry out revenge, so we justify it by attaching our feelings to this phrase. In fact, this phrase is so catchy and poetic that books, movies, and popular songs like "Bad Moon Rising" have used it many times. But our feelings are holy and come from a good place, even our negative feelings. We want revenge because we crave justice and expect the world to work in a fair and honest way. Justice is part of Godliness and something our soul clings to strongly. But when this feeling gets confused with personal hurt, we channel it into the wrong direction. Whenever we feel personal hurt, the spiritual challenge is to try to channel it back to God. Seek His advice how to channel those feelings in the right direction through prayer, introspection, and understanding. Of course if we are legally allowed to seek payment for damages we should do so through an objective third party legal system. But ultimately the Almighty runs the world.

In short, the Torah advocates an official system of justice with courts and judgments that preclude personal vengeance, while clearly stating that personal revenge is a transgression. There is no room for doubt in this matter. Please spread the word.

Ramadan falls on ninth month of Islamic lunar calender. During this blessed month Muslims around the word abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs in the daylight. Muslims believe its time to purify the soul, focus attention on God and practice self-sacrifice.

Ramadan is the month of re-evaluation in which Muslims re-evaluate their life according to the Islamic guidance. It is the time to strengthen ties with family and friends and to clean up mind body and soul to lead a peaceful life. The Arabic word "Sawm" (Fasting) which literally means "to refrain" - It means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts and words.

Ramadan is the time to cleanse up the body and soul from all impurities and re-focus on self and God. During Ramadan every part of the body must be restrained to attain the purity. The tongue should be restrained from unwanted gossip and backbiting. Eyes must not look at unlawful things and hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. Ears must not listen to idle talk and obscene words. In such a way, every part of the body observes the Sawm to attain purity.

Fasting is mandatory on every Muslim and starts everyday in Ramadan at the break of dawn and ends at sunset. The following exemptions are allowed as Allah does not want to put you to difficulties :
1.the insane;
2.Small children who are not adolescent;
3.the elderly and chronically ill for whom fasting is impossible;
4.pregnant women can postpone the fasting at a later time;
5.travelers can also defer their fasting.
6.fasting is also forbidden for women during the period of menstruation and should be made up later.

Tips to make Ramadan a special one :
1. Keep in touch at least once a week with your family, friends or with all your loved ones and share three Ramadan-related things you've done in the last ten days of Ramadan. Also don't forget to send Ramadan e-cards to all your friends and loved ones.
2. Help your friends or family members if they are facing any problem in their life, keep an open heart to others. Don't miss any small opportunities for gaining blessings.
3. Decorate your space with Ramadan balloons, banners and streamers and boost the environment.
4. Choose at least five goals to pursue this Ramadan. Try to curbing all your bad habit and start something good , doing this will help you to change for the better. It takes 21 days to establish a good habit. With Ramadan, we've got 30. Why not make the best of it by picking up the good?

Have you ever thought about what your desires mean to you? How do you feel about them? Are you happy and excited when new ones arrive or are you trying to block them because they make you feel miserable? Do you believe that you are entitled to have anything you want or are you trying to justify every desire that you have?

If you are like most people, than you have probably too often heard in your life that you canâ€™t have what you want just because you want it. And although nobody ever explained why you canâ€™t, you accepted it as reality. But the truth is that all your desires already have the power to manifest. Whenever a new desire arises within you, it means that all the circumstances and all your previous choices have aligned in such a way that this desire can be perfectly manifested in your life.

All of your desires already have such a power in themselves to manifest that they donâ€™t need much of your action. The only thing that they lack is your trust in them. A little less worrying and negative emotion towards your longstanding desire can make it come true almost immediately. Let me give you an interesting example that has recently happened to me. For a few months I had been hopelessly looking for an animated cartoon that I had seen when I was child. I really loved this cartoon because it had some outstanding characters and very beautiful songs. However, none of my attempts gave any results. I felt very confused and frustrated when I thought about all this. Anyway, time passed, I stopped thinking about this cartoon and just went on with my everyday routine. And thatâ€™s when the Universe responded! As soon as I stopped worrying that I donâ€™t have this cartoon that I want so much, it came to me in three different ways (one was a gift from a friend and the other two I found â€œby accidentâ€). I am sure you can recall several similar occasions in your life.

Another reason why our desires may not manifest for a long time is because we think that not all of them are appropriate, that is we shouldnâ€™t really want certain things and feel guilty about some of our desires. For example, a lot of people were taught to believe that it is â€œunspiritualâ€ to want material things, especially ones that we classify as luxurious. If you have ever heard someone say to you â€œAll you ever think about is money!â€, then you know what I mean. But what is really wrong with us wanting all these things? Absolutely nothing. There are no unspiritual desires, because everything that surrounds us is spiritual. Just think about this for a moment: how can you possibly combine two beliefs â€" that God is omnipresent and penetrates every atom in the Universe, that everything has come from God and everything is God (as all those â€œspiritualâ€ people teach) and that what you desire is not right, that it is not what God (or however you call this Universal Power) wants for you? You canâ€™t, because these beliefs are inconsistent with each other, the former automatically excludes the latter.

I hope you already know and understand all this, but even if you donâ€™t, your subconscious will soon hint you that it is the right thing to believe in :). What we are going to do now is perform a little practical exercise to become friendlier with our desires. So, relax, put away everything that can distract you in the next 15-20 minutes, make yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea and sit comfortably in front of your computer or with a notebook and a pencil (whichever you prefer).

Now I want you to write down everything that you wish to have and experience in your life, starting from the most burning desires that you have had for a long time (like finding your soul mate or starting your own business) to small things that maybe only once occurred to you (this can be anything, from getting a puppy to becoming a supermodel). Now write down everything that you remember wanting and not getting (your childhood dreams, your teenage aspirations, etc.). You donâ€™t have to follow this order, Iâ€™m just giving it as a guideline, write whatever comes to your mind. If you need more than 20 minutes, just make yourself another cup of coffee and continue working on your list. When you finish you should feel either overwhelmed and drained, as if you have been working intellectually for many hours, or fulfilled, as if you have finished an important task. Remember that what you are writing in this exercise are not your goals, donâ€™t think whether they are real or how you can achieve them, just write about what you want to have, be or experience. Write until you list every single one of your desires that you can think of.

Now itâ€™s time to sum up what you have written. Think about what you felt when you were writing down your dreams. Is it a very long list? Did you feel guilty when you were writing it? Did you think that you were greedy, that you shouldnâ€™t want so many things, that no one person should have all this? Itâ€™s quite normal if you did, because this is what we all were taught to think. How did you feel when you finished the exercise? If you felt overwhelmed and drained, it means that you have a lot of resistance towards your desires; you donâ€™t believe that you can have them. It is also very likely that most of those desires that you wrote are not really what you want. Maybe someone else wants you to do that and you just want that person to feel good about you? I recommend that you carefully read through the list that you wrote and identify which of those desires are yours. You will know it by the way you feel and because now you are doing it intentionally.

And, last but not least, if after finishing this exercise you felt fulfilled and satisfied, it means that you are doing a great job and have no resistance to your desires. Enjoy your life and everything you want will come to you, often in very unexpected but pleasant ways :). Leave the space for the Universe to bring you even more than you ask for! Maybe while doing this exercise you remembered some long forgotten dreams that you nurtured many years ago. Well, I wish you to fulfill them and all of those which are still to come.

Have you ever asked yourself why people do the things they do? Whether we are talking about acts of heroism, antisocial behavior, or simple personality quirks, we never cease to be amazed at the variety of ways people respond to life. There are libraries full of books trying to explain psychology and human behavior, but maybe it is much simpler than that.

The first computers were based on a very simple design: they received input, performed a calculation and then produced some output. Computers have gotten far more sophisticated over the years, but this is still essentially the way they operate. Computers are machines, though. They cannot choose which input they want to receive (other than by executing instructions that have been programmed into them) or receive pleasure from their calculations and so demand more of the same.

People are far more complex, but when we get down to basics, they operate in a remarkably similar fashion. Instead of programming, the driving force behind every action that a person takes is a magical ingredient within nature - desire. Desire actually begins as a sense of lack. Nothing is desired without first experiencing its absence. The fulfillment of a desire is sensed as pleasure, while its absence is perceived as suffering. Not a moment goes by that we don't adjust something, even if it's just a slight change in our position, to make ourselves more comfortable.

Once a lack or desire is felt, the human computer goes to work. The five senses - taste, touch, sound, sight, and smell - provide input to the body. The mind then begins to calculate the best way to fulfill that desire. Is the anticipated pleasure worth the effort required to obtain it? These calculations are what compel us to action, the equivalent of the computer's output. Our whole life is a constant pursuit of good things to fill us, surround us and make us feel satisfied.

We are creatures with many desires; they manifest themselves without our knowledge, without any help from our intellects. For instance, there are sexual desires and desires for food. In this way, we are no different than other animals. We see desire even in plant forms -- they turn towards the sun.

As humans, however, the desires grow to great heights. We want all kinds of things that money can buy. We want knowledge. We want honor. We want power. The arts, the sciences, the technologies -- all have been created because of desire. Each person in the world experiences a different combination of these desires, which is what makes us unique individuals. One person might be satisfied with a nice house and comfortable lifestyle. Another might yearn for the political spotlight, while a third might aspire to be the next Einstein. As different as these people may appear on the surface, they are all simply responding to the underlying desires that they feel.

There are some people, though, who cannot find satisfaction in any of these things. These people feel emptiness, but it is a desire for something not found in this world. It is a seed of spiritual desire. It's like the power of life within an apple seed. It holds the potential to become a tree-- it holds the desire to become a tree. This may start out as a very tiny urge, but eventually it cannot be ignored.

The wisdom of Kabbalah provides the methodology to help that seed of spiritual desire blossom and grow. Kabbalists understand that spiritually, like in the physical, no action happens without desire; therefore, they work to build that special desire until it demands fulfillment. Once it is big enough and demanding enough, Kabbalah teaches us how to satisfy it by developing a sixth sense, an awareness of a spiritual world beyond this world. From this point on, our human computer performs calculations of a new and different nature: ones designed to bring us to spiritual fulfillment.

According to Kabbalah, spiritual fulfillment is the reason for our existence. It is the reason that desire was created in the first place, and is the only desire that will bring lasting happiness. All that happens in life is meant to bring us to one point: the awakening of that first spiritual desire. Desire-- the secret ingredient of life. That which manifests, but can't be seen. Today, human beings are following the next course in evolution that was initiated from the beginning--the desire for the ineradicable worlds beyond.

Dispelling the myths:

Palmistry is one of those subjects, like politics and religion, that evokes strong opinions, usually for or against. It surprises me that in this day and age and in this atmosphere of information sharing there are still so many gray areas surrounding the science?

Without letting the cat out the bag essentially a very large part of palm reading is highlighting characteristics and personal traits which are mostly already known to the individual. Whether we like it or not our thoughts and deeds are reflected in our hands (and feet) and arts like Palmistry and Reflexology take advantage of this fact. The impact of this surprise is magnified when we hear our personalities dissected and summarized by a total stranger!

It's true that palmistry had a rocky beginning in Europe with the Catholic church - billed as competition. However, I think that a lot of bad press surrounding Palmistry has also been generated by some unscrupulous practitioners who promise more than they can deliver or worse...

In the 12 years that I have been practicing palmistry I have heard some disheartening stories that do the trade an injustice. In trying to help those that have a genuine interest in the art and hopefully weed out those practitioners that give the science a bad name I have compiled a short 'when to run' list.

Start running if:

1)The palmist says curses have been placed on yourself and/or your loved ones (and of course only they can remove said curse.)

2)The palmist, psychic, fortune teller, tarot reader etc. says they have the solution to all of your problems (while they're at it let them lower the petrol prices.)

3)The palmist requires a conspicuously large sum of money; usually following statements made in points 1 and 2.

Palm reading is supposed to help, it should enlighten us and leave us with new options. Through discovering and mostly re-discovering our characters we can work on our weaknesses and use our strengths to our advantages - if we are not already doing so.

Remember, nothing is set in stone, we are usually faithful to our main character traits which determine our behavior BUT we are also creative beings who have the ability to change how we think and therefore what we don't like.

Vipassana Meditation - Chiselling the Walls of Illusion by Vijay Raisinghani

More than 2500 years ago, the Great Enlightened Master - Gautama Buddha gave the world a beautiful meditation technique. That wonderful technique of meditation was to form the foundation of Spiritual Enlightenment of hundreds of thousands of meditators throughout the ages. Till this date, the meditation technique that Buddha gave has enlightened more persons than all the other meditation techniques combined together.

Buddha gave the world the meditation technique called Vipassana. "Vipassana" is a Pali word and it means "Pure Watchfulness". It implies watching and observing the reality around us as it is, without any bias whatsoever. Vipassana is also called "Anapansati Yoga". It's the meditation technique that's practised by a majority of the Buddhist meditators.

The technique of Vipassana essentially involves watching the breath and the breathing process. Through this watching, the mind calms, the awareness of the meditator improves dramatically over time. He is able to witness the reality and true nature of things as they are, without any mental bias whatsoever. He comes out of all conditionings and this inner cleansing gives rise to immense tranquillity and bliss.

The Vipassana Meditator is a blissful person and has a great sense of humour. His mental sharpness improves and he is not attached by anything. Life becomes a drama and he enjoys every moment of it. The awareness that arises in the time of meditation gradually spreads to all the activities of the day. This mental focus and dexterity also brings great success and accomplishments to the Vipassana meditator in all the spheres of his life as an added bonus. This success comes as he participates in the activities of his day to day life totally and not partially.

The small but powerful ray of awareness that starts initially from being aware of the breath, gradually spreads into the more subtle realms of the mind like the thoughts, feelings, emotions and the subconscious mind. Hence layers after layers of the inner mind are peeled gradually and one gets freed of those conditionings. This releases a lot of trapped energy that was entangled in these negative layers of the subconscious mind.

Thus the Vipassana meditator is always in a great state of relaxation and is like a reservoir of energy. His life force is not wasted and leaked in the continuous thought process that goes on always in the ordinary mind uncontrollably. He becomes a true master of himself and his mind. He is able to use it as an equipment rather than being used by it.

In the beginning stages, the meditator needs greater time and silence to get deeper into the Alertness. Witnessing is an art that needs to be learnt gradually. Slowly the mind calms and is not distracted easily. A 10 day meditation retreat is very helpful as it serves as a foundation for the beginner and he gets easily grounded into the watchfulness and learns the knack of Awareness. Then he can practise the meditation and remain watchful uninterrupted even in the most distracting place.

The benefits of Vipassana meditation are numerous. It improves the patience and frees from all vices like addictions and uneasiness. The gains of Vipassana can be felt right from the very first session, but they require regular and continuous practise for the deeper gains to materialize over time. It requires commitment and perseverance on the part of the meditator.

By and by the meditator is able to chisel his way through the illusions of the world and achieve a total clarity. He becomes aware of his own being and true self. He is a true winner and his triumph is beyond words. Vipassana can be done on a standalone basis or can be done along with other meditation techniques, which can greatly enhance the overall results of meditation.

Life Lessons: Unconditional Acceptance by Pat Campbell

A couple of years ago I met a dear old lady who I will call Annie (not her real name). She was 97 and very frail and unable to walk but with a mind as bright as a button. I only knew her for a few short weeks before she passed on but I felt I knew her for a lifetime. We shared so much of ourselves in that short time and I feel very blessed to have known her. I was closer to her than my own mother who had passed on some 14 years previously.

I attended Annieâ€™s funeral and it was there that I received the first part of a profound enlightenment. When the eulogies were being given, I suddenly experienced what I call "the God feeling" very strongly. (This intense feeling of total love goes way beyond anything mortal and it has often accompanied major "aha" moments, especially in the early days of my relationship with God. I soon came to understand that God wanted me to know that the new insight or piece of wisdom came from Him. The knowledge that I have acquired during these moments I call "absolute knowings" because I have known beyond a shadow of doubt that these learnings were absolute truth.)

It became apparent to me that God wanted me to listen very carefully to what was being said. Annie's son was talking at the time about the way that Annie totally accepted everyone she encountered in her life, regardless of their situation, belief, habits or attitudes. She truly did know that we are all one and treated everyone equally. And I thought to myself, "What is the lesson here? I do endeavour to accept everyone! This doesnâ€™t seem to be anything that I havenâ€™t already learnt."

It was a few days later before I realised that it was myself that I had to learn to accept unconditionally. I already accepted others as they are (along with their faults) but I have always been very hard on myself for the slightest little mistake, misdeamour or oversight on my part. It was okay for others to be less than perfect but I couldn't accept that in myself.

It never ceases to amaze me how different events in our lives (and past lives) fall together to create a complete story. Shortly after Annie's funeral, I had a thought that kept popping into my head that I had done a terrible wrong to a friend of mine in another lifetime. I didn't want to think about it because it was really a very big transgression but my thoughts kept returning there regardless. And then I had a dream (something I don't do very often as I am more likely to have "waking dreams"). In the dream I was the victim of the same transgression and the perpetrator in this instance was someone I also know very well in this lifetime.

As I was thinking about how these events were related (and also feeling rather bad because I knew my previous transgression was true), I felt what I call "the voice feeling" which is hard to describe. I donâ€™t audibly hear actual words but I "feel" the words instead (and I have to admit that I am just a little envious of Neale Donald Walsch and Barbara Rose who do actually hear God's voice audibly). And the "voice" said to me, "Do you judge the one who wronged you?" And I thought no I don't, it doesn't make any difference to the way I feel about this person at all. And the "voice" said, "Well why are you judging yourself so harshly for your wrongdoing when you can accept it in another?" And that's when I realised that all of these events occurred so that I might learn to accept myself as readily as I accept others. It is not a lesson totally learnt even now and I do still tend to berate myself for not doing everything I set out to do but I have definitely made some progress and have somewhat relaxed my expectations of myself to a level which is more humanly achievable.

As an extension of these events and realisations, it also became apparent to me that in three different lifetimes, one can be the perpetrator, the victim and the observer; a trilogy of human existence to aid divine understanding. By "observer", I donâ€™t mean that one physically watches a transgression or crime taking place. I mean that one comes to an understanding of how it all fits together. There is no room for blame, shame, regret or judgement. Learning includes the bad as well as the good. We are all in the same boat living as we are in a duality existence here on earth. We are all comprised of good and bad, generous and mean, sharing and selfish. When one understands and accepts that no one is better than another regardless of the way people act, then we are beginning to understand the necessity of duality and can rise above it towards enlightenment.

If I were to ask you to point to yourself, you would most likely point to the center of your chest, to the area of your heart charka. If I were to ask you close your eyes and place your attention on love, again, you would most likely place your focus on your heart charka. Why is this? At our core we all know that we are the presence of love and the energy of love is based in our heart charka.

This painting is titled, "The Power of Love." When I created it I was thinking of a teaching from A Course in Miracles that talks about how we gather various trinkets to make us feel fulfilled when what we are searching for is right here inside of us. The word "LOVE" is written in the center of this heart. The heart is covered with a shield of metal mesh.

We all have LOVE at the core of our being but over our lifetime the losses, betrayals, and disappointments have made us feel unsure about LOVE. We may have given our love to another and experienced that love being rejected, misused, and misunderstood. We have learned to place a covering over LOVE in order to protect it and keep it safe. With our love safe and secure inside of us, we expect to feel great, very satisfied, fulfilled. But, we usually feel empty.

When we keep LOVE protected for safekeeping, we also make it unavailable to our self. Feeling empty and unloved, we begin to search for trinkets - for people, titles, roles, labels, houses, awards, food, and all sorts of trinkets to help us feel full and satisfied. We shop till we drop, getting the latest new digital toy on the market. We watch reality shows of others failing at the presented challenges, making us feel stronger. There is an empty hunger that can never be fully satisfied because what we really want to feel is LOVE.

This is a Divine paradox. We are looking for the LOVE that lives right there inside of us, behind the mesh shield. The love that we are seeking lives and breaths right here in the center of our own heart presence. We can be very thankful because the power of LOVE is so potent that it has the power to tear apart that mesh shield. Once a tiny crack of love escapes, love can keep pouring out.

I look at this painting often to remind myself that LOVE is right here inside of me. LOVE lives right in the center of my heart. LOVE is my identity. LOVE is my power. LOVE is my presence. My healing journey, my spiritual journey, has been about releasing my attachment to the trinkets, to cut away the shield of protection, to allow myself to know the power of LOVE. Continuing and then stressing about it, will only lead to more complications. There are many other, gentler yoga practices out there that are perfectly safe for a pregnant woman to engage in that will not overheat the body. It is important to avoid postures that cause compression of the diaphragm or heart and to separate your feet slightly in standing positions. After the pregnancy you can always go back to Bikram Yoga.

Clerics have always held a robust sway on all emperors, starting with pharaohs. Hermeticism is a predecessor of alchemy; alchemy is a predecessor of freemasonry. Prima Matra and Vril

Prima Matra is an ancient term. The Matter, according to this concept, had had its purest fundamental nature at the very beginning of Creation. It is Prima Matra. Alchemists perceive Prima Matra as the most mystic energy - it can be also termed as Vril known in mystic waters under various names such as Holy Spirit, Mana, Prana, Philosophers' Stone, Chi, Kundalini, Ilu or Orgoneâ€¦

Edward Bulwer-Lytton - a playwright, poet and politician (1803-1873) - brought to light the term Vril. He wrote a book (a kind of a utopia similar to Francis Bacon's New Atlantis) entitled The Coming Race where he describes a very advanced master race living in the underground, which the author had allegedly visited while exploring mines with his friend. The book is written so persuasively that many readers started to believe it had really happened. In addition, it also became a basis for establishment of a few secret societies.

The name of the Nazi military organization SS could simultaneously hide from view another message - a secret SS part - an organization in the organization, as can be assumed by German abbreviation for Black Sun, which is Schwartze Sonne. An interesting argument that may support this notion is the factual existence of Black Sun in the Nazi heraldry (two flashes of lightning in the shape of S inside a dark circle).

In the beginning of the 20th century, a secret Vril society was formed in Germany, as Bergier and Pauwels claim in their book entitled Le Matin des Magiciens (1960). A very strong medium of this society was Maria Orsitsch or Orsic (written differently, as it is a Croatian name). She was first mentioned in books of the above authors.

The Vril society was purely a female group and Maria had allegedly contacts with extraterrestrials. But this was not the only secret group mentioned in reference to history of Germanic and Nazi secret movements. DHvSS (in German: Die Herren vom Schwarzen Stein) is a group of â€œmen of black stoneâ€ the origin of which goes back to medieval Europe when Templars first visited the Orient. Of a few other similar groups we may also mention the Thule Society, which started in 1911.

Vril as a group of secret enthusiastic members slithered to life again from its black habitats and it is presently known as Causa Nostra. Their website has also some reference to German admiral Canaris, who participated in anti-Nazi opposition. Wilhelm Canaris was the head of Abwehr - German intelligence; he also stood behind attempts to assassinate Hitler. Canaris also saved lives of a number of Jews. Nazis executed him at the end of World War II. Canaris could be involved in many other secret activities of the Nazi Germany.

Isais/Isaie

This is an enigmatic German goddess, but only a modicum of information is available about her. Isais is very similar to the Egyptian goddess Isis. Templars had allegedly imported her to Europe from the Orient in the year 1220 and thus the group DHvSS had been formed with Ilu as their Holy Grail. KEEP YOUR WOMEN SILENT IN CHURCH! This little statement is made in the bible by Paul. A little statement it may be but because it is in the bible and because many people still believe that that book is the undisputed word of God, every single word of it, women have been unfairly discriminated against and excluded for nearly 2000years. We know that Paul did not particularly like women due to the high regard in which Jesus held Mary Magdalene. We know that she was not, as the bible will tell you, a penitent whore. We know that she was a High Priestess and that furthermore, she was the wife of Jesus. We know that there were many female disciples although they were totally ignored by the composers of the bible. When Paul asked Jesus why he let Mary Magdalene speak about God and Spirit he said; "Whosoever speaks the word of God is divinely ordained to speak". That is as clear as it can be, isn't it? In conversation with a church elder recently, I asked why some churches objected so vehemently to female priests or vicars. I was told that the church did not object to visiting female vicars but that a female should never be allowed to be the vicar in charge. When I asked why not he said that Paul had said that the leader of your church must be a man of good character. The most important part of the statement, to me would be the `good character' piece. That was the essence of the statement after all. The male dominated Christian church has latched onto the `man' word and applied that as the letter of the law rather than the `good character. So where does this regarding females as some kind of inferior being, come from? Well it started with Paul, was adopted by Constantine and his emerging church of Rome and was incorporated into the works chosen to make up the bible. And for nearly 2000 years it has made the position of the spiritual female just that much harder. The situation was made entirely worse by Pope Gregory 1st in the relatively early days of the Roman Catholic Church, who declared that, as the Gospel of Luke had declared that Mary had `had seven demons cast out of her' that she must have `perfumed her flesh with forbidden acts.' Since that time the church has wrongly portrayed Mary Magdalene as a prostitute - may the Angels forgive them. As Lynn Picknett says in her excellent book, `Mary Magdalene - Christianity's Hidden Goddess': Only in 1969 did the Roman Catholic Church repeal Gregory's labelling of Mary Magdalene as a whore, thereby admitting their error. Though the image of Mary Magdalene as a penitent whore has remained in the public teachings of all Christian denominations. Like a small erratum buried in the back pages of a newspaper, the church's correction goes unnoticed while the initial defamatory article continues to influence readers. In `The Templar Revelation' by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince the authors, when talking of Mary Magdalene state that: It is clear from the way that she is mentioned that she was the most important of all Jesus' female disciples, almost all of whom have been almost totally ignored by the church. First century Jews may have had sociological and religious problems with the concept of important women, simply because of their culture, more recent critics have no excuse. During the never-ending arguments about women priests, extraordinary misrepresentations of Jesus' followers were cited as proof that women were not meant to be members of the clergy. Right from the start and the Garden of Eden the bible portrays the female as the villain. She is the corrupter of man!! Make no mistake, our patriarchal churches have quite deliberately demeaned and blamed the female. And does it not seem strange that we have an all-male Holy Trinity? God the father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost. A clear agenda is evident to all readers that women are unworthy. But this is clearly wrong. It is just another part of the dogma that is doomed to fail. Love is within all of us. Love is in all of nature. The Earth is your mother. She gives you all you need to exist and live, much as your biological mother does. The love of the mother knows no bounds and is unconditional. This love and at this level, is only found in the female. Through the female the male finds the experience of true divine love, and through making love, he connects with Great Spirit at the ultimate level for this earthly plane. So it is quite clear that the female on earth is love. The church preaches love but tries to exclude the female, declaring that she is unworthy to preach!! Folly indeed. Until it can learn to warm its cold and unfeeling heart towards the female it is far from spirit. Everyone is of equal importance to spirit, for each of you are sparks from the light, but the female you should revere. Females, through love, carry new life in their bodies and bring that new life into the world. Their cycle of life and egg producing itself coincides with the cycle of the Moon, itself long held as a symbol of femininity and love. Spiritual females should always allow Moonlight to fall upon them while they sleep. Females nurture the children, love them, teach them and show them right from wrong. At this time all of this comes from a female living in a world that is far from being deeply spiritual, a world that struggles to comprehend true spirituality. Can you imagine the heights of understanding and love that can be imparted by a female living a deeply spiritual life. Before the bible writers, where were the enlightened ones most prevalent in the preceding centuries? Why, Egypt of course! Pythagoras, Pluto and many other early scholars and thinkers studied with the priests at Heliopolis in Egypt. Over the preceding millennia those priests numbered many females among them. There was always a woman in the Temple Of Thoth holding the title, `Mistress of the House of Books' which included the Egyptian Book Of The Dead. And it is worthy of note that women in ancient Egypt were the freest in the world both legally and morally. It is a far cry from our so-called Christian churches whose bible teaches, `Keep your women silent in church' who fought the ordination of women, and still do! A church built to control the people through imparting fear of what may await them after death, and in suppressing the female, can only implode, for it does not teach the truth.

What's it like to be a Kabbalist? Can you see through walls? Do you live in seclusion, meditating all day and using just the barest necessities? Can you manipulate other people's thoughts and feelings? Can you stop a train with just your thoughts?

The fact is that a Kabbalist's only concern is to be in harmony with the force that enlivens the whole of reality, called "Upper Light." When one gains contact with this Upper Light, one changes from within and begins to feel new sensations. Actually, what one feels are the qualities that are present in the Upper Light - qualities of love, bestowal, perfection, and eternity. The Kabbalist's relationship with the Upper Light is called the "Upper World," a realm beyond time and space.

As a result of the Kabbalist's internal changes, his relation toward others also changes. He naturally begins to feel love toward other people, as if they were his kin. This is because he is occupied with his relationship with the Upper Light, and since the Upper Light is all love and bestowal, the Kabbalist naturally adopts these qualities as well.

However, this isn't something that you will necessarily be able to discern on the outside. A Kabbalist doesn't change because someone teaches him how to behave and preaches moral principles to him, or because he reads about "proper behavior." Any changes in his attitude occur naturally, without any coercion or external instruction.

Kabbalah maintains that any teaching or activity that restrains a person is faulty. We cannot enforce any kind of behavior on people, since this is simply ineffective. Therefore, Kabbalistic education does not try to suppress any of our habits or preferences. Rather, Kabbalah guides a person on how to achieve balance and harmony with Nature from within, and only if the person desires this. Through Kabbalah, one learns about the qualities of the Upper Light, how to gain contact with it, and how to become similar to it.

Therefore, there is no coercion in teaching people the wisdom of Kabbalah. When Rav Kook, the great 20th century Kabbalist, was asked who could study Kabbalah, his answer was: "Anyone who wants to." And in fact, it also works the other way around: You can't really study Kabbalah if you don't desire it; because what you study - the connection with the Upper Light - is felt specifically through your desire. So it would be incorrect to urge anyone to study, since it can't bear any fruit.

Today, Kabbalah is available to all, and anyone who wishes is able to learn about the Upper Light, its qualities, and how to achieve harmony with it.

inner guidance meditation by Jack chua

There are many ways to meditate. Some of the most popular ways of meditation include chanting a mantra while sitting and eyes closed. The mantra should be a word that has no meaning to you so that you do not get distracted by the meaning. For example if you chant "car' or "Toyota', you probably be thinking about what your next car going to be, although this might help you to manifest a new car quickly in the near future. If you have watch Ronda bryne's 'The Secret", you will know what I mean.

Another popular way of meditation is to focus on one object in your mind's eye, for example you can visualize a candle in front of your mind's eye. Keep your focus on the candle and gently let go of any intrusive thoughts like have I paid my parking fines.

Also another way of meditation is to visualize a clock on the wall in your mind's eye, and watch it tick second by second or minute by minute. This can help you focus your mind.

If you are looking for any insight into a problem or an issue, Mentally say to your self that you wish to know this or that. And continue doing the meditation. Sometimes after awhile, your subconscious mind you show you something. It will show you in the form of a image or feeling. When you are relaxed, you should be able to know that an insight is given.

I sometimes like to use a pendulum when doing meditation. A pendulum can be a ring with a string tied to it, or you can buy one from new age stores.

Before I start, I will test the response. You should already have calibrated it. You should already know the position for YES and position for NO. Most common position for YES is swing in front of you and side to side is NO.

Sit in a comfortable chair and hold the pendulum in one hand. It is preferable to have a chair that can support the elbow holding the pendulum.

There are too many things to ask your inner guidance, but after 5 minutes querying you inner guidance, you would naturally fall into a meditative state, you brain wave would have slowed down and you now feel relaxed.

I once ask my inner guidance using dowsing if a certain area on my physical body has a past life problem, In the meditative stage, it show me a warrior who was impale from behind. It may be possible to query your inner guidance as to how to heal the problem. But you need to ask the right question.

DEATH AND THE GREETERS by Neal Sutton

It is difficult isn't it, telling people that there is no heaven and no hell, that these places were an invention of the church, many, many years ago. The affect of all this is that many people live in fear of death. Even the devout are never really sure which way they are going and so the fear is there even for them. The words we use to define this perfectly natural time of our continuing existence only serves to remove all hope! Death, Die & Dead. It all sounds so very final! If something dies, it is the end. Churches even teach you that you stay dead until the `terrible day of judgement' and then we have the crazy idea of purgatory! How terrifying is that? Talk about subservience through fear. So let's have an end to all this stupidity now. Let me tell you what really happens when you pass back intro spirit from whence you came. Then you can go and lead your life and forget the attempts by the church to make you afraid, and you can be assured by the knowledge that love and light await you, no matter what. Many people who have NDEs or a Near Death Experience, report seeing a bright light and people, figures on the other side of it. This tunnel of light is a huge energy barrier that separates the physical experience from the spiritual realm. Once we do pass over and through this barrier the silver cord is severed and the spirit's link to the earthly body is lost. The body begins to deteriorate almost immediately as it is no longer occupied by the energy force that kept it `alive'. When you do pass over there are always one or two or even more on hand to greet you and help you with any confusion that you may be feeling at that time. You will recognise the greeters as you will have known them in previous existences and in between. With them you will feel at ease and an incredible sense of love and peace will envelop you. Obviously all bodily malfunctions through age or injury that held you back will cease to be and you will feel whole again. To assist with the passing over and the acceptance of it, to a large extent you will see what you always believed that you would. Therefore if a person believed that they were going to hell, that is what they would see, but the images would soon fade and they would be greeted by loved ones. If a person has failed in their life's mission and succumbed to the love of the world's wealth or did not achieve what they wanted to achieve in that lifetime, there is no judgement, no wrath. There will be major disappointment in your spirit for you will have failed to achieve what you chose to live that life to do. Your spirit or karma may have been damaged and you will spend a time healing, where you can review your failures and see the error in the love of the world's wealth rather than real love and compassion, before deciding to perhaps return again. There is no judgement. There is only help and love. In leading a life of greed, materialism or hatred, you only damage yourself and your spirit, you damage and hinder your own soul's progression towards perfection. And perfection is total and all embracing love and eventual oneness with the creator/god this massive positive energy force that surges through the universe. For remember: we are energy. Every soul can lead many lives. It seems a little naÃ¯ve to me that people can believe that a spirit can be bon into a body once, but that it is not capable of doing it twice, three times or many times in order to achieve perfection. Surely it is a rather sadistic God who would say, â€œ Just one shot at it, then into the lake of fire with you!â€ Churches do not want you to believe in many lives and prior existences because it loosens their grip of fear and they no longer have control. The leaders of all the great ancient schools of wisdom knew of pre vious and successive existence, but it has been closed off to general knowledge by the rise in religion over the last 2000 years. A religion steeped in dogma and control that bears little resemblance to the real lives of Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene and the many, many disciples, many of whom were women. But that is another truth and it is dealt with in the book Buried By The Church. Even the Hindu school of thought uses control though in a different manner because they say that: â€œThis man has done something in a previous existence to make him suffer now. Therefore why should I help him? He has done something to deserve this.â€ In this way they are using the same tactics as Christianity. ---------------------------- There are many levels of existence. This earthly level of incarnation is hopefully allowing you to improve your spirit, soul or karma. It is all about your learning experiences, your spiritual development and improvement. Above our level is the guides and the higher evolved ones who re-incarnate to help, but that is another topic for another day! Suffice it to say that they are here now! Below us are the earth bound negative spirits, then the animal spirits, most of which are herd spirits similarly the birds (have you ever wondered by a flock of thousands of birds all change direction in a nano-second?) Animals that are shown great love during their time on earth have the opportunity to progress upon their return to spirit. A much-loved dog or other pet experiences such love that it is allowed to progress. Then there are the elementals or nature spirits. The guardians of nature, these are what you might call faeries, elves, and the like. These are only names given to nature spirits when they have been spotted on the rare occasions that they manifest themselves. There is a whole folklore surrounding these creatures now, most of it untrue! Talk to someone about faeries and elves and ask them if they believe and they will tell you â€œNO!â€ It is the folklore that they don't believe in. Take that same person to the forest on a warm sunny day and enjoy the quiet. They will confess that they feel a certain magic about the forest. It is these nature spirits, these elementals that will be busy in the time leading up to the earth shift and immediately following it.

BE THE DIFFERENCE! For the last two thousand years (and probably before that) religious intolerance has been one of the primary reasons why peoples across the planet have not been able to `get on' together. I forget who it was who said, "For good men to do evil it takes religion" but it certainly appears to be true. Is there a religion anywhere that does not preach love, compassion and understanding at its heart? I cannot think of one. So please explain to me someone, why it is that there is so much hatred across the world in the name of religion. Muslims hold placards aloft demanding that someone should die because of something they might have said. And it is not just today that the problem has been with us. The Roman Catholics were extremely intolerant of anyone who did not accept Catholicism as the orthodox religion; indeed, anyone daring to differ in any way were immediately branded as heretics and hunted, tortured to confess all manner of heresy and then burned at the stake, if they survived the interrogation! Who can forget the shocking pictures of protestant school children having to face a barrage of spitting, shouting and verbal abuse from Catholic adults because their route to school took them down a Catholic street? The children were as young as seven and eight and were crying hysterically for fear of what these `adults' may do. What kind of God would anyone be following that would condone such shockingly infantile and cowardly behaviour towards children? What kind of God is happy to see his representatives on earth torturing and burning his `children'? What kind of god wants any kind of negative activity from anyone? What kind of God wants any negative thoughts from anyone?

Just as love, compassion and happiness are positive emotions and the epitome of everything that spirit requires of us in order to grow, so too are hatred, greed and anger very negative emotions that can and do damage your spirit or karma.

It does not matter to me what religion you follow. I don't care whether you feel that you must pray every half hour, or whether you feel it is wrong to eat pork on a Friday. I don't care if you feel you have to cover your body in tattoos and run naked up the Blackpool tower if you feel it makes you closer to God, whoever you perceive him or her to be. All these things are the rules of your particular `religion' and they do not come direct from spirit. They are rules made by people sometime in the past. If your religion requires you to hate and murder, then you do your spirit untold harm. The only thing that spirit requires of you, that your spirituality may grow, your karma positively affected, is that you love more people, love the people you meet, be tolerant of the differences you perceive. Be compassionate to everyone. Help everyone who needs your help. Freely give it for it is a gift for you to pass on. In a world of hatred and intolerance you must be the difference. There will never be a massive change for the better unless we all become part of its creation. YOU can be a big part of it! BE the difference you wish to see in the world. You should do this above all else in your life.

People

You can Assimilate pretty much anything, but let's start with what we know: People.

People are good to start with because you have a good idea what its like, right? When you Assimilate someone, imagine yourself in their body.

Start off with the basic things like clothes and accessories. Feel their clothing on your body. How does the clothing feel? Do you feel like the clothes affect their disposition or comfort level in some way? How do their watches, rings, and chains make you feel?

Next, consider their physical attributes, like height, weight, and age. How do these things affect their state of mind and actions? Don't over-analyze it, just try to feel or imagine it, and trust whatever you get.

By feeling all these things and imagining it all, it is like putting pieces of a puzzle together; it begins to form an overall experience. The more pieces you can add the more complete the picture becomes!

Now here's a great key! Copy the face, exaggerate it. This really tunes you in to their feelings and often times more!

The eyes are the window to the soul. But don't over-think what you find; just focus on the feeling and trust it. 90% of the time you'll be right!

Note: It's important to have the subject you are Assimilating within visual range. Because of this, places like a coffee house, the train, or the gym are good places to practice.

Animals

Assimilating animals is really fun. I encourage everyone I teach to go to the zoo to do it. With animals, you really want to strive to use 'non-human' ways of sensing and thinking. Here's a hint: Animals don't have the mental chatter that humans do, and rely more on instinct for the choices they make.

Different animals have different sense abilities. For example, some see from the front and some the sides, some can see well in the dark, or have telescopic vision. Dogs see greens and yellows better than reds and blues, and birds can see ultraviolet light.

Here are some things to consider: Have you ever seen how entertained a cat can be while smelling the various scents of an open window? What about the point of habitat? Do they live lower to the ground, on trees? Think how worms always feel walls around them.

Be careful not to inject human thinking or human emotions into your subject. An ant probably doesn't feel sad about living as a nectar dispenser, and a blind animal may not have a sense for 'darkness'.

Objective observation is key when Assimilating animals.

Plants

Assimilate a plant in pretty much the same way as you would any other biological life-form. Some areas to pay attention to are veins, roots, thorns, the micro-structure of the plant, and buds.

As a human, you have a lot of sense abilities. So if you were to Assimilate a tree, you may have to minimize your senses down to simple forms of sensation and intent. Think about what that means.

Also consider that trees have deep roots, insects live in them, eat them, and why is it that older trees sometimes seem 'wise'?

Do plants think? Some plants can anticipate night and day. Through your practice, you will discover new ways to view intelligence, the senses, and the definition of life.

Non-Biological Objects

Non-Biological Objects are things like a cup, a cell phone, or a building. They are the ultimate in 'outside-the-box' thinking because you really have to slow down the mind and experiment with just 'being'.

When you begin with objects, try to start with the structure. This will give you a good overall feeling to get you started. Then, try to see the micro-structure, like as if through a microscope. Move through the fibers of the different parts.

Consider the actions of the object: a hammer vibrates when used, a cell phone is an active participant in many conversations, couch bows to the sitter. If you assimilate a couch, and someone was to sit on it, you may in some way, experience the pressure, structure change, and the effort to support their body weight.

Think about the senses: Senses allow something to interpret a world. Without eyes, ears, and nerve cells, how much of this world would you be able to interpret? Objects don't have any of these. However, just because a thing doesn't have human sensory, doesn't mean it cannot have other means of interpreting this dimension.

Its all about perspective, Rick

My coaches words echo round my head. Little seeds planted in my sub-conscious mind that keep appearing in different situations and, not surprisingly, perspectives. But why is it that it doesnt always deliver the same effect? Why am I holding onto a particular outcome of such a fluidic suggestion? The answer, ironically, is again within perspective.

I sat there watching the TV, my coffee is yet to kick in and my morning sluggishness is much more intense than usual. Negativity pervades my mind as I watch the news. Comparison, comparison, comparison to everyone except myself. Magnifying the good in others and reducing the good in myself. Sound familiar? Spiritual seekers have a tendency to be such perfectionists and yet it is usually the thing holding us back the most. Perfection in humanistic terms, the terms drummed into us by the media on overt and subliminal levels daily is a disease rife on this planet, particularly in the modern age. On one hand, it gives us the impetus and drive to push forward into further possibility, but on the other it stifles and suffocates the human spirit. True perfection, the perfection viewed by an enlightened being, is that of absolute fluidity. Ever heard anyone say the real perfection is in the non-perfection?

As my ever regular coffee started to kick in and my biochemical patterns started to re-align to something more familiar, I started moving more towards non-thought. I started to question my own self-doubt. Why am I feeling this way? What is the root of the problem? Am I really not good at anything or is there something incredibly obvious that is eluding my current frame of mind? Without further frustration at my further inadequacy in not getting my perspective right (again, sound familiar? The oh-so familiar Nazi "I" that anyone in Higher Balance will have developed to some extent), I became critical of my criticality.

Its all about perspective, Rick

A mandela of knowledge softly exploded almost violently within my consciousness. Like a sponge of compressed knowledge that inflates on contact with water. Applied knowledge. The news presenter on TV, who had only moments before appeared a professional, well-rounded and confident individual was laid bare within my imagination. Suddenly I saw her in all potential aspects, good and bad. That she wasnt like this by nature, but had learned every last movement, down to the subtle communications in her facial muscles. She had become this by necessity. Survival within the mechanism. She may be successively portraying the desired image, but this image was but a snapshot within her life viewed from the snapshot lives of those watching her. But how many of those people are aware of this level of truth? I suspect hardly any. Fast food media.

It really does all come down to perspective. In our post-modern era, academics continually pout that perspective and truth is relative in their familiar mechanical way. And to large extent, they are right. At least, from that perspective :P

What is your perspective as you read these words? Are you even aware of it? If so, then you must ask yourself what that perspective is and if you are satisfied with the first answer that your conditioned mind gives you then you have but entirely missed the point my friend.

* Perspectives on Perspective: Part 2" Tasting the air

Life is nothing more than a conglomeration of living, dynamic perspectives that move within and without one another in a constant moving dance. The problem is that we never realise this is the case and see a still reality, it may be moving but only within our vision. A play on a set stage of generally unquestioned assumptions, and when we question, it is normally questioned in an unquestioned way. And as we move slowly from one perspective to another we forget that we ever viewed it from a perspective at all.

These are the "I"'s, identities within the mind. Separate, but appearing seamlessly connected by the presence of your ego.

These are the collective consciousness bubbles of society. Each identify and perspective looks out through its bubble that distorts the view outside it. Yet the bubble is absolutely transparent to those inside it unless they look very hard indeed.

But they do not only exist within your organic mind but at every level of the cosmic continuum. What is the perspective of a cell within your forefinger? For sure, it is as alien as you can possibly imagine and if you can imagine it at all then you are probably not imagining it. But if you can feel it with your sixth-sense (this can be trained through spiritual work, such as the Higher Balance Meditation, link available in this article) then you are probably coming somewhere close as your dimensional consciousness (a.k.a - spiritual mind, universal mind, higher consciousness etc) is not so limited by the constructs and perspectives of our own organic brain. It is energy with a perspective and form of consciousness of its own, but it does not resemble our own so throw anthropomorphism out of the window once you have a useful concept.

These perspectives of reality build and form the larger structures they are a part of, forming the perspective of your larger macro organs and the body that these too make up. Note, when I say perspective I do not only mean as in what can that individual embodiment perceive. I also mean how does that formation of energy fit within the larger system, what is its role, what are its functions and limitations and in what way do these contribute to the cosmic order of our universe.

How are these levels of micro systems affecting you even as you read this right now. Maybe you are hungry, tired, boredâ€¦or maybe even quietly interested :P

How does it fit within your larger social identity? Become conscious of how limited your self perception is within the larger body of the Gaia mind (or collective consciousness) and all its possibilities of consciousness. Dont despair though, your organic limitation is what makes the larger possibility, possible. Your finger is allowed the privilege of its existence through the limitation of the cells it consists of. If each cell was granted absolute freedom of movement and consciousness your finger would have never even come to be. And your brain and organic consciousness is allowed its freedom and control over the finger by its own dichotomy of exploration and limitation. Would you even be reading these words if you could fly and view the different cultures from a real-time birds eye view. The system works imperfectly from the bottom up to create perfection from the bottom down. But the perfection is nothing like the humanistic perfection of desires, needs and wants.

Are you aware of how this social identity is combines with the particular life cycle of your body right now? Perhaps you are young and naive like myself. Or perhaps you are old and wise, yet in your wisdom you have forgotten the naivety of youth and have become naive in your own way yet again. What use is wisdom if you use it like a teenager would? Just a thought.

And how would the collective consciousness, from cell to country, look from 1000 light years away? If we frame ourselves from that perspective, we can see our bodies as sub-cellular processes within the cytoplasmic air of our rooms and immediate environment. The walls of your room as cell walls providing you with the protection from the external environment so that your body can live out the function of its one-hundred year life-cycle on this planet. A blink of an eye from the galactic frame of perspective. Size is only relative. Time is only the movement of size. We exist within space that only seems the size it does from the conditioning of our mind to believe that this particular snapshot of the cosmos is the real one and all we should be concerned with. To an atom, you are already a universe in itself. Did someone say close minded?

The planet is an organism.

It brings to mind a phraseâ€¦the more we realise we donâ€™t know the more we do know. We just have to apply that pattern of unknowing to the universe in front of us.

* Perspectives on Perspective: Part 3" Breathing and living within the new air

Liberation is awareness of this continuum of micro/macro identities, perspectives and understandings beyond your own. This requires mindfulness, but also knowledge gained through the experience of observing reality and the patterns within it. Ironically, you have to condition your mind in a new way in order to un-condition the old one. This is the work. The only difference is that this new conditioning allows the possibility for further self-critical conditioning.

You begin to create a momentum that pushes you upstream through the resistance of the functional collective consciousness. The more you understand these bubbles of consciousness, and the more familiar you become with your own patterns, the more you can walk "Inbetween" the bubbles and become conscious of their source. The collective consciousness of the planet is observable only from this place and this is where an someone of awakened consciousness walks. Rather than remaining stuck within the particular frame of consciousness that their current mood, situation and life-cycle dictates, they become fluidic to the movements of the micro/macro ocean of the cosmos.

On one level, you are the summation of the micro bodily turbulence that your particular biochemistry creates in reaction to its external environment. Become fluidic and let it move within you.

On another level, you are nothing but a speck of dust within a larger cosmic ocean. Let yourself move within it, and let it move you.

The more impartial you can become to you own life the more fluidic you can become. Your structure becomes the movement of the structure you are a part of as opposed to the structuralisation of the ego. The ego always breaks. It has no choice.

So let it.

You can intellectualise and philosophise until you and those that have to listen are blue in the face. But until you step down from the thrown of your ego you will never truly see anything the way it really is.

Between the structure of the atomic nucleus and the electron cloud surrounding it there is huge space. Between the cell and organ there is huge space. Between the structure of individual human bodies, there is space, and there is space between the larger societies of our planet. Between our planet and the solar system, there is again huge space. Constantly, the continuum of the cosmos is patterned in repetitions of structure that gives way to a more macro space.

The universe is fundamentally empty, yet there is structure within it.

Look for the space in everything, nothing is as it seems.

We live in a universe of dualities. Spirituality information tells us that we are all one but our physical senses tell us that we are all separate. The secret is in knowing these are both part of our life experience. Use the secret to expand your spiritual growth. This pervasive preponderance of living in this realm of dualities has skewed our interpretation of ourselves into thinking that we are also a two-part entity, mainly a mind and a body. The reality is, of course, that we are a three-part being made up of mind, body and spirit. It is in the knowing and acknowledging of this ultimate totality of who we really are that is the key to understanding the true nature of how things work. The spirit part of our beingness is the metaphysical aspect of ourselves that ties us together physically. While the physical parts of our body seem to end at the most external portions of our skin, the nonphysical and metaphysical aspects of our beingness continue beyond the physical limitations of skin. This extension of our ethereal body is most widely known as our "aura." This is the zone of energy that is often physically visible to the trained eye or the lens of a camera that is designed to capture these vibrations on film. We think of this "aura" as extending out from our bodies but in reality it is our bodies that are encased within the parameters of the "aura." Now here is the ultimate truth of your aura: Your aura is the one aura that is all auras. The aura that surrounds you is the continuation of the aura of the person that is next to you, that is a continuation of the aura of your neighbor, that is a continuation of the aura of the people in the next town, that is the continuation of the aura of the people in the next state, that is the continuation of the aura of the people in the next country, that is the continuation of the aura of the people in the next planet, that is the continuation of the aura of the people in the next universe, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. It is all the same aura. It just reflects different vibratory tones when it is next to any particular body. We are all connected to everything: physical, nonphysical and metaphysical. We are all one. Let's go one step further. We live in this realm of dualities thinking that we are mostly a two part being made up of mind and body. The body functions according to what the mind is telling it to do. This is only partly correct. A more accurate description is that we are using the brain, which is a physical part of the body, to interpret the incoming data from our physical and nonphysical senses. The mind is not the brain. The brain is part of our physical body that is a command and control center. When we speak of the mind we usually say "my mind." Once again we are subject to the power of words and their limitations. When we say "my mind" we immediately think that each of us has their own mind that funnels information to the brain, according to the particular experiences and memories that "our mind" has. The ultimate truth is that the mind, much like the aura, is the one mind that is all minds. The mind that we believe to be our own is merely a part of the "universal mind" that is part of all things. It is the mind of God and therefore the one mind that is all minds. Once again, we are vibrating at a unique frequency that allows us to retain and draw to us that part of the universal mind that we know of as our memories and our knowledge. The memories and the knowledge that we claim to possess are all part of the bigger field of memories and knowledge that makes up the totality of the universal mind. If you want to know something that you think you don't know, just put your attention on it. The universal mind, which is all knowing, has no other recourse but to bring forth the knowledge that you seek.

It is then a matter of discernment for you to be aware that this knowledge has come to you. It can reveal itself in an infinite variety of forms and it is up to us to be awake and aware when it shows up in our reality.

This demonstrates another reason to accept what shows up in your life and quit judging things as right or wrong or good or bad. What shows up is just "what is." The discerning question you need to ask yourself is, "Does this serve me?" When you answer that question you will be able to make a choice as to whether you want to use it or drop it from your consciousness and choose again.

The tarot cards that we know today have gone through a long and evolution, from the pictures, symbolisms, procedures, purposes, and meanings. It is interesting to note that tarot cards were originally used in a game, with 21 trump cards, four queens, and a fool added to a normal deck, which totals to 78 cards in all. But it is unclear exactly how tarot branched out from a simple mind-diverting game into the fragile business of looking back into past lives, foretelling the future, and answering questions.

Tarot cards however shouldn't be equated solely with fortune-telling as they have many other valuable uses.

Self-interrogation Through tarot cards, we become honest with ourselves as we try to pose questions. In a typical tarot reading, we ask questions that help you understand the past or a current situation. Tarot cards offer an alternative language system through which we can access our Unconscious. Therefore, we do not just randomly pick tarot cards, or blindly entrust our lives to them. The word Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy.

It is defined as being that power which acts and lives in all created matter.

The word consists of two parts. The first syllable "REI" pronounced "ray" describes the universal, limitless aspect of this energy, the wisdom and knowledge of "All that Is".The second syllable "KI" pronounced "kee" describes the vital life force energy which flows through all living beings and is in itself very much part of part one, "REI".

Throughout the history of mankind diverse healing methods have always existed which were based on the transference of universal, interpenetrating life force energy, the same energy which brings forth all life in the universe and nourishes it.

As humans beings we are all born with Reiki ability as it is a God given right. By that I mean that the "Universal Life Force" which comes directly from "Source" is present within all of us.

Kabbalah: Growing Our Spiritual Spark by Bnei Baruch

Kabbalah explains that the whole of Creation, including us, constitutes a single desire - the will to enjoy. This desire was created by what the Kabbalists call "Light," or "the Creator." As the Light continued to influence the desire it created, the desire went through several stages of development, until it broke into tiny, particular desires called "souls." And this is the origin of the people in this world - us. The particular desires or souls were clothed in physical bodies in this world, and this is how we now feel our existence.

But even while we exist in the body and identify ourselves with it, there remains a spiritual particle, a spark of Light, within each of us. This spark is an aspiration to return to our root, the Creator.

However, since we live in the physical bodies, we also feel other aspirations, desires for things that we know from the physical level of existence. Kabbalah divides these desires into bodily desires and human desires, where the bodily desires are desires for all the things that our body wants, such as food, shelter and sex. The human desires are the desires we have towards things we can acquire in society, like wealth, fame, power, honor and knowledge.

When we start paying more attention to our spiritual spark, the aspiration to the Creator, then we nourish that spark and enable it to grow. We thereby begin to identify ourselves with our spiritual existence, above the bounds of time and space, where we exist as souls.

This is exactly what Kabbalah helps us to do: nourish and increase our spiritual component, the spark of Light that connects us to our root. Through Kabbalah books we are able to gain contact with our spiritual existence, since the Kabbalists write to us from their own attainment of the spiritual existence. It is as if they are throwing us a rope, and all we have to do is catch it, that is, read their books properly.

The first step in learning how to read Kabbalah books properly is to realize that you're reading about things that are happening on a higher, spiritual level. In other words, the text has nothing to do with this world or anything you already know. The fact is: There is no way for you to understand anything in the text and to grasp it intellectually, because you have no existing premises for this. The only thing you can do while reading is desire to understand, desire to develop the inner discernments that match the text in order to grasp it. And when you do this, what actually takes place is the creation of a fundamentally new, spiritual sensation within you.

Depending in how strongly one desires for this change to happen within him while reading a Kabbalah book, one grabs onto the rope that the Kabbalists are extending to him, and "pulls" himself up to the higher spiritual level that the text is describing. One exposes himself to that level's influence and connects to it, thereby beginning to sense eternity and perfection, just like he did when he was first created by the Light.

So you want to meditate... Piece of cake! After all, how hard can it be? All you need to do is sit down and close your eyes and relax. Right? Wrong! If this were true, everyone who ever attempted meditation would have mastered it, and you know that is just not the case. The old axiom about there being no such thing as a free lunch is something you might want to remember when you begin the process of learning to meditate.

When you go through the following, realize that your body is like a spoiled child and will resist every attempt you make to discipline it.

In meditation, consistency is one of the keys for becoming proficient. So, make a commitment to practice daily for at least 21 days, which is the time necessary to initiate change.

FIRST STEP: Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for 20 or 30 minutes. Shut the phone off so that the ring will not disturb you while you practice. In these beginning days, make sure that you are not in an environment where electrical fans, radios, or machines are running. Later, when you have a degree of mastery, you will learn to use background noise as a means of deepening your meditative experience.

SECOND STEP: Find a comfortable place to sit down or lie down. Be aware that in the initial stages, you may have a tendency to fall asleep. Therefore, sitting upright may be more practical than lying down. When you sit, place both feet flat on the floor. It will make you feel more composed and determined about your efforts. As a side note, if you should fall asleep, you probably needed the rest. When you wake up, try again. There are no penalties for â€œdo overs.â€

THIRD STEP: After being seated, decide how to position your body, that is, where you want to place your hands and arms. This could be in your lap or on the arms of your chair. You may need to experiment a little to find out just where they feel most comfortable. At first it may seem awkward no matter where you put them.

FOURTH STEP: Now that you are seated, close your eyes. Because your attention is still behind your eyelids, you may see tiny points of light, squiggles, or variations of light. After you move through the rest of the steps, you will find that your awareness will automatically shift to a place on your forehead just above and between your eyes. This place is called the third eye or the seat of the imagination.

FIFTH STEP: Slowly and easily take full breaths. As you do, feel the flow of air as it goes down into your lungs and back out again. If you are breathing properly, your stomach should seem to swell and your chest will move very little because you are using your diaphragm. The most efficient muscle of breathing, the diaphragm is located at the base of the lungs. Your abdominal muscles help move the diaphragm and give you more power to empty your lungs. Practice this at least 10 times.

SIXTH STEP: Relax the body.

1) Press the toes of your right foot firmly down against the floor until you feel tension in the entire foot. Do this for the count of 10. Then relax. You may feel an increase in warmth, a slight tingle, or the foot may just seem to feel larger.

2) Do the same exercise with the right foot again. Now the difference in feeling between the right foot and the left foot gives you the contrast you need to tell the difference between a body part that is experiencing a degree of relaxation and one that is still in a state of tension.

3) Perform the same exercise with the left foot. Now both feet are in a state of relaxation.

4) Your challenge now is to allow this feeling of relaxation to flow upward into the rest of your body. You do this by tensing each body part, holding the tension for a few seconds, and then letting go. Allow this feeling of warmth (relaxation) to flow slowly up through your ankles, lower legs, knees, thighs, lower body, chest, arms, neck, face and scalp. Any place you especially feel tension, tense that body part again and then let go.

Pay close attention to the muscles in your face. Relax the lips. Allow the tongue to lie loosely in the floor of the mouth. Keep the jaw relaxed. Do not let your teeth close tightly. A good approach for relaxing all the face muscles is to make the most ferocious monster face you can muster and then relax.

SEVENTH STEP: Quiet the brain. Your random patterns of thought are one of the greatest enemies of meditation, and it takes a heroic effort to bring them under control. The good news is that your focus on the process required in relaxation has already given you some degree of control.

However, to fully benefit from meditation, you have to bore your brain into submission! You do this by taking a word or phrase, called a mantra, and saying it over and over. A mantra can be a word such as â€œLoveâ€ or a phrase such as â€œGod and I are One.â€ If you catch your thoughts wandering to the obligations you have or the grocery list, bring them back to your mantra. Getting your brain under control is also like retraining a spoiled child. It resists your efforts, but eventually, your consistency and commitment to the process will bring it under control.

EIGHTH STEP: Listen. This is not about hearing words. It is more about the feelings you experience.You may suddenly experience a knowing about questions you were struggling with earlier or the direction you need to take becomes clearer.

NINTH STEP: Self-remember. This step comes with practice. You find yourself connecting with the oneness that exists between you and God, between you and others, between you and the Universe. The illusions that are governing your life start to break down.

In a "materialistic" culture money becomes the God, that we seek and humans become devalued.I have spent a lifetime studying God and money, and from my perspective when serving others is the goal, greater good and profit result. I have a plan, a way that brings out the best in capitalism and it is simply this:

Rather than trying to make money, our goal as individuals and businesses should be to make a difference. If we can make a real contribution, that contribution is valued and we become valued and money comes. This is the key to the Law of Attraction: it's not trying to get what you want, but helping others with what THEY need or want. If we only seek to benefit ourselves, or a select few, then we miss the greater value of making a difference. Making a difference, making a contribution to other's lives, is what life is all about; and it's good for business too. We find greater purpose and meaning when we make a contribution. Just making money will not fulfill you, making a difference will.

If we really do care and want to make a difference, then we think green, we think sustainable, renewable and what is in the best interest of others including the generations to come. To seek to make money and not account for the costs in terms of its long term affects on our society, our natural resources, and our environment is a short term gain (financial) at a long term cost, which is bad for business and our society. To promote products and services that benefit the well being of all, through your purchases and investments, adds value to the world, to spend and consume for pure self interest is short sighted and costly to society. The more conscious we are the happier we are both individually and collectively.

To improve the world we must first intend to. As we think prosperity, happiness and peace, we create it. The world around you is a reflection of your state of consciousness. When you care about the welfare of your employees, they provide greater productively and loyalty to your company. When you care about your customers, they support your business. This has been tested again and again and proven to be true. Think in terms of what you can do for others and watch your business grow... and your heart; profit as a prophet.

You Are God, Goding by Richard Blackstone

Spirituality information tells us that we are all one. We are all one with the source of our existence, this process we call God. In essence, we are God in physical form. Do you think of your self as God? In the realm of the physical, relative universe we basically call ourselves Human Beings. Not human doings, human beings. Let's take a look at this three-part being we call a human. The three parts of our beingness are mind, body and spirit. There are many names that we can use to substitute for what we are going to describe as our beingness. Each of these triad labels depicts this three-in-one relationship with different words but they all reference the essence of the holy trinity that makes up who we really are. The ultimate characterization of the holy trinity is called Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is the way a theologian might describe the essence of God. This gender specific description might just as easily be called Mother, Daughter and Holy Spirit. Either gender can be used for the absolute definition of that which gives rise to (Mother, Father), that which is risen (Son, Daughter), and that which is (Holy Spirit). If you were dealing within the field of psychiatry you would be talking in terms of the conscious, subconscious and super conscious. Philosophical discussions would revolve around the id, the ego, and the super ego. The scientific community would be dealing with these concepts of energy, matter, and anti-matter. Poetic license brings forth images of mind, heart and soul. For our discussion within this literary genre of metaphysics we are going to use the more spiritually based label of mind, body and spirit because it so accurately describes the concepts that are relevant to our dialogue. Body, mind and spirit. The physical, the nonphysical and the metaphysical. One part of our beingness is physical, the body. The other two parts of our beingness are not physical. Our mind is nonphysical and our spirit is metaphysical. My dictionary describes metaphysical as 1. Of, or having the nature of, metaphysics 2. Very abstract or subtle 3. Super-natural. (I really like this one). Metaphysics is defined as 1. The branch of philosophy that seeks to explain the nature of being and reality 2. Speculative philosophy in general. "The branch of philosophy that seeks to explain the nature of being and reality." We are not seeking to understand and explain the nature of doing and reality. Doing is what happens after we make a choice concerning who we are being. The action of doing is what ultimately manifests our creations but that choice of actions is determined by who we are being when we make the decision to take action. The body, the physical part of our beingness, is the part that takes the actions and has the experience. The mind, the nonphysical part of our beingness, is the part that conceives the experience to begin with and sets in motion the creative process. We know that nonphysical means that something does not have a physical form or presence, but what does metaphysical mean? The spirit, the metaphysical part of our beingness, is the disembodied part of us that purely "is." The nonphysical aspect of ourselves, the mind, the universal mind of God, has the knowing which we seek to experience. The body, the physical aspect of ourselves, gets to act out our experience, that which we know of from the mind, and our spirit, the metaphysical aspect of ourselves, can then "be" that which we know and experience. So, contrary to what many people have thought all their lives, we are not "discovering life" as we move through each moment of now. We are, in fact, "creating our lives" and the world we live in, in each and every moment of the eternal moment of now. We are in the continual process of creating life experiences in order to fulfill our purpose for existence, which is to experience in the physical realm all that God knows as concepts in the realm of the absolute. When the 13th day on the month lands on a Friday, the culturally unfavorable attributes of each are multiplied by infinity. Friday, the day of original sin, the day Jesus died, the day of public hangings, in combination with 13, the number of steps on a gallows, the number of coils of rope in a hangmanâ€™s noose, the number of the Death card in the tarot deck, is indubitably designated as a day of portent and doom.

The pitiful suicide note of a window washer that was found with his body in a gas-filled room at his home and quoted in a 1960 issue of the Yorkshire Post, underscores its powerful, popular reputation, "It just needed to rain today ï¿½" Friday the 13th ï¿½" for me to make up my mind." Poor sod.

But up until the patriarchal revolution, both Fridays and 13s were held in the very highest esteem. Both the day and the number were associated with the Great Goddesses, and therefore, regarded as the sacred essence of luck and good fortune. Thirteen is certainly the most essentially female number ï¿½" the average number of menstrual cycles in a year. The approximate number, too of annual cycles of the moon. When Chinese women make offerings of moon cakes, there are sure to be 13 on the platter. Thirteen is the number of blood, fertility and lunar potency. 13 is the lucky number of the Great Goddess.

Held holy in Her honor, Friday was observed as the day of Her special celebrations. Jews around the world still begin the observance of the Sabbath at sunset on Friday evenings when they invite in the Sabbath Bride. Friday is the Sabbath in the Islamic world. Friday is also sacred to Oshun, the Yoruban orisha of opulent sensuality and overwhelming femininity, and Frig the Norse Goddess of love and sex, of fertility and creativity. Her name became the Anglo-Saxon noun for love, and in the sixteenth century, frig came to mean â€œto copulate.â€

Friday the 13th is ultimately the celebration of the lives and loves of Lady Luck. On this, Her doubly-dedicated day, let us consider what fortuitous coincidences constitute our fate. The lucky blend of just the right conditions, chemistries, elements and energies, which comprise our universe. The way it all works. The way we are. That we are at all. That, despite whatever major or minor matters we might think are unlucky, we have somehow managed to remain alive and aware. This Friday the 13th, let us stand in full consciousness of the miraculousness of existence and count our blessings. Knock on wood.

Non-Thought: Retrain Your Brain by Bruce King

The first time I attempted to have non-thought I noticed something interesting. My brain did not want me to have non-thought. It kept babbling away at me even as I explained to it that what I was trying to do would be beneficial for it. My brain was having none of it. No matter what I did my brain kept on insisting that I was better off daydreaming or thinking about something, anything, just not nothing. I wondered why that was. You would think that the brain would like to take a rest once in a while.

Try it yourself. Sit down in a quiet room and try to think of nothing for even a few minutes, pretty difficult, right? Now you see what I am up against in my attempts to attain a non-thought state.

Why does the organic brain do this? I believe it is because the idea that you could depend on some other way of thinking, that is to say thinking with your higher consciousness, is interpreted as a threat by your brain. Reaching your higher consciousness through non-thought means getting to a place that is separate from your organic brain, this threatens the brain and therefore the brain wants to resist your awakening to your higher consciousness. Being separated from your organic brain seems like death to your brain. Therefore your brain will prevent you from separating from it. But, donâ€™t get mad at your brain, it has a very sensible reason for resisting non-thought and your awakening to your higher consciousness. It is survival. The survival instinct is what makes your brain resist your awakening. It is simply the fear of death.

The data that the brain is processing is mostly based on self-preservation. There is a security in the babble. For instance: If you repeat something in your head you are less likely to forget it. This may mean a better existence for you or less danger. If I remember to go to the grocery store I will have food to eat. If I remember things about my job it helps me make money, which leads to better clothing, and better shelter, which equals better survival.

So, how do we make friends with our brain? In other words, convince our brain that it not only is not going to die if we attain non-thought, but that it will actually be beneficial to our brain and body?

Bending reality teaches your brain that there is no threat from connecting to your higher consciousness. If you bend reality in a â€˜smallâ€™ way and everything is okay, you donâ€™t die, then you are retraining your brain. There are also other ways to retrain your brain.

Escape the Matrix by Bruce King

As I have said before, everything is energy. You, me, the universe, all made of energy. That means that everything is the same thing. An easy way to think of this is to use the analogy that everything in the universe is made of water. We are water beings in a universe entirely made of water. We are all the same thing...water. So how would that affect your reality if you were made of water in a water universe? You would literally be able to move through water 'walls' or fly through water 'air' because you would be made of the same thing as the wall or the air. This is what is going on in this 'reality', except instead of water we are all made of energy.

If we are all made of energy then why do walls appear solid and our bodies too heavy to float in the air. This is because we are experiencing 'reality' with something that is also within this 'reality', our organic brain. When we begin to experience this 'reality' with our higher consciousness then we are able perceive and move in it in it's true form, energy.

The way to access your higher consciousness is with non-thought. You need to get your brain out of the way. Surrender what you think everything is and you will see past the illusion of this reality. Not easy, but possible with practice.

Some ways to practice non-thought:

1) Meditation - The specific meditation I recommend has been explained in other articles, but can also be found through links from my web site.

2) Sensory loading - This is simply taking in as much sensory data as you possibly can. It is pretty hard to think about anything else if you are truly focused on the thousands of bits of sensory data that enter your brain moment to moment.

3) Walking in a meditative state - Go outside and walk in a rhythmic pattern (not too fast) and let yourself get lost in the rhythm. Watch out for traffic and other hazards though.

4) Zoning out - stare at an object and just vegetate. (i.e., don't think of anything) just look at the object and rest your brain for a while.

5) Listening to the tones - If you can hear a high pitched ringing, focus on it and try to move it around.

6) Feeling the objects around you with your mind - Look at an object and imagine what it feels like to the touch, smells like, taste like, etc.

The list could go on, but this gives you the idea.

The sooner you start practicing the sooner you will be able to escape the matrix of this 'reality'.

I'm excited to share this with you, today. Why? Because when I see something working in my own life, I share it with others in hopes that they will enjoy the same success that I have. I mean, if something works for one person, shouldn't it work for another if they do the same things?

That has been my experience, thus far, so I take great joy in sharing what I have to share. We all go through our fair share of ups and downs in life. We go through times of confusion and times of despair. We've all experienced desperate times of doubts and frustration.

But the good news is being a child of God has unique advantages! We live in a fallen world, so there will always be times that our faith and belief will be tested. But it's in those times that our character is built and we're made stronger in our faith.

But, I want to share something with you that God has been teaching me in my personal life that has had some amazing results that have built my confidence in Him to heights I never dreamt imaginable!

And that is praying God's promises (His word from the Bible) back to Him makes things happen! I can't tell you how uplifting and how dramatic the changes in my life have been because of it.

I don't care what you're going through at this point in time. There is a promise in God's word that will help you work through it and most of the time, give you directions on how to get out of it! That's good news!

I want to share a few verses of scripture with you to show that I'm not making this up. God really desires that we ask Him for what we want, because if it's His will for us, He desires to give it to us just as badly as we want it!

There are three that I believe will do the trick.

First, there's Isaiah 55:10-11 that says, "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. If God promises that His word will accomplish what He desires for it to do, you can bank on the fact that if you find a promise in His word and apply it to your life, that He will do it for you!

Secondly, there's beautiful James 1:5- 8 that reads: "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."

God promises that if we ask, believing and not doubt, that he would give us what we ask for. So ask Him for your heart's desires, so that God can show you that He loves to give good gifts to His children!

And last, but certainly not least - 1 John 5:14-15 that states "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him."

If you're like me, you're probably jumping up and down shouting "Hallelujah!" You see, it's not that we should think that just because we ask for a new car or a new home, or a million bucks that He's just going to give it to us.

He's not like that. He's not a genie in a bottle, at our beck-and-call. Just like any good father would give gifts to his children that he knew they were ready for and could handle, God is no different...that's why it says, "if we ask anything according to His will".

But just having that loving reassurance really makes me love Him all the more.

So I tell you to be confident in the things you ask God for. Peruse His word, find His great and precious promises and start to pray them over your life and those you care for (and even those you don't). Your life will never be the same!
